Get away from it all at Tranquility on beautiful Teal Lake "The Quiet Lake"

The home sits just steps from the lake and has both an outdoor fire pit and an indoor wood fireplace that you can sit around and take in the lake views any time of the year. The cabin was completely upgraded to a 4 season vacation home and even has central air. The bedrooms are spacious and the fishing is excellent.

->Guest Bedroom 1 King Bed & Attached Bathroom
->Guest Bedroom 2 Queen Beds

Teal Lake is a 1024-acre lake with lots of undeveloped shorelines and islands to explore. Teal is known for its' excellent fishing. It's also considered a "Quite Lake" because it has a 10 MPH speed limit for motorized boats. This means you won't be seeing and hearing Jet skis and ski boats rush by all day long while sitting lakeside or out fishing. If you like to explore for people kayaking, canoeing, and boating the six islands on Teal Lake are owned by the DNR and open to the public for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring; two have picnic areas and grills so you can even do a shore lunch: one island can be camped on overnight. The Teal River is just down our shoreline, and that is also available for fishing, boating, and great for kayaking and canoeing. The depth of the water at the shoreline is a couple of inches and sandy and clear (great for kiddos and dogs), and just sand in that area if in a drought. Pretty much every worm you fish with from the dock will catch you a small panfish, if not bigger (have caught several muskies off the dock, a largemouth bass, and tons of perch, bluegill, crappies, and sunfish)
New in 2022 the owner has purchased two new Kayaks to explore the lake with. The Kayaks are free to use with the rental. Some adult-size lifejackets are available. Be sure to bring any youth-size jackets you might need to guarantee fit. Lifejackets are required to use the owner's kayaks. Paddles are also provided.
The cabin is in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest that features some great and well-marked hiking trails. The Mukwonago Ski trail is also only 2 miles away.
A Note About Dogs:
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval- an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).
We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.
We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners. Sorry, no cats, please.
This cabin is well stocked. We supply hospitality items such as coffee filter packs for the drip coffeemaker, and coffee and hot chocolate K-cups for the Keurig; totally stocked kitchen for cooking and baking, a pizza pizzazz, crock pot, roasting pan, air popcorn popper and popcorn, salt and pepper, sugar, spices, liquid hand soaps throughout, hairdryers in every bathroom, dishwater tabs, dish soap, new scrubby each rental, bathroom and kitchen towels, pet towels and covers, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, vacuum cleaner, dog waste baggies, hangers, iron and ironing board, highchair, card table and 4 chairs, rollaway, 6 outside adult chairs with 4 matching kid chairs and 3 matching folding tables, 3 folding lawn chairs, 3 outside chairs on deck near gas grill, 2 propane tanks, picnic table, fire pit, smart TV, CD player, DVD player and DVD's, lots of board games, card games, books, jigsaw puzzles, kid games and puzzles, corn hole, ladder-golf, ring toss, Velcro ball catch game, dog tennis balls, and sand/beach toys, flashlights, alarm clocks in every bedroom, weather radio, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguishers, trash and recycling bags, informational brochures, Welcome Book, central air, cleaning supplies, and other misc. items
