The cabin was perfect, away from the busy tourist scene in town, quiet and peaceful, yet easy access to everything. The cabin is rustic but had everything we needed. There were birds and frogs to listen to and the hot tub was really nice in the cool evenings. There was a cooler and ice packs in the freezer that we used every day, as well as beach chairs, umbrella, etc. It was a perfect stay and we would definitely stay there again.
Caroline and Scott are amazing hosts! The cabin is surrounded by beautiful tropical greenery. We explored the island and were always able to return to this little piece of tranquility. We will return!
Communication with the host was great and the check-in was easy. The cabin is located in a quiet zone not too far from Kona, which is excellent. The cabin was very clean with thoughtful touches. We did find that there was limited space for clothing, and while the kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc there wasn’t really much space to put food/groceries aside from the fridge. There are dogs on the property which were ok but could be intimidating to someone nervous around dogs. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.
The Kaloko mountain cabin was the Hawaiian vacation we’ve been dreaming about. Walking distance from Mountain Thunder coffee plantation and the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary. Caroline and Scott are warm, welcoming hosts. This was our first trip to the Big Island, but it won’t be our last!
My daughter an I loved every minute it was just what we imaged secluded but yet close to everything we needed. Caroline is an awesome hostess gave us great ideas of places to see and places to eat. Highly recommend
Adorable little cabin in the hills of Kona. A great place to cool down after a hot day in town. You feel like you are in your own private jungle. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of frolicking in the volcano. We are aleady planning a return trip.
Caroline is the perfect host! Everything clean, cozy and comfortable. Up in the hills, the evenings were cool, but we had layers of blankets and even an electric blanket and space-heater. We had a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, and the hot tube was at the perfect temperature! We would definitely stay here again!
Didn’t want to leave. Everything about the home was perfect! We loved it. The cooler mountain location, the quietness, the remote location it was all wonderful. Can’t wait to go back. All the amenities were perfect. Beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler everything you would need to enjoy the beach and traveling around the island.
Beautiful tucked away. Oh so cool at night. Awaken to bird songs, enchanting view out of each window. Hot tub surrounded by a forest of ferns and flowers.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this secluded cabin! Sitting on the deck and enjoying the beauty of the forest/jungle and the beautifully landscaped area around the cabin was very pleasant! The hosts were friendly and communication was great! The cabin was well supplied! All in all it was a great experience!

Beautiful Spot!
Perfect! Great location, with easy access to anything you'd want to do just a short drive away, but very private. very nice owners! Scott and Caroline are more than happy to give you a rundown of the area and how everything works. I hiked up the hills a couple of times which was really nice and relaxing.

We rented this cabin for a week, it was perfect! Everything was what we were hopping for, you are in your own private little rain Forrest and it is very relaxing. The hot tub was very clean and we were easily able to fit the three of us in there. Not too far of a drive from town or the beach so it gives you all options while costing, along with privacy for when you return back. Nothing but praise for this rental!

Wonderful Tropical Hideaway
Scott and Caroline were warm and welcoming and the cabin was outfitted with everything we needed! My mother, sister and I all enjoyed the cabin immensely, our only regret was not taking more time to just hang out there. The hot tub was a major plus, we enjoyed it at the start and end of our days. The town of Kailua-Kona is not far (about 10 minutes drive), so the cabin enjoys both proximity to attractions and conveniences but is removed enough to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle. Not only would I recommend this cabin to others, I would stay there again myself.

This was a very cute cabin, not a house. The walls are thin. You need to turn on hot water about 10 minutes before use. That being said, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was nice to be away from town, secluded in such a pretty place, while still being only a few minutes away from everything. The hosts were great. We were welcomed with a nice note, fresh cut flowers, and after a bit, a greeting from Scott. Very nice place :)

Perfect Hawaiian Retreat!
We had probably overly high expectations of the cabin before we landed, as the pictures looked great and Caroline seemed so nice, but we were still pretty blown away with how great our stay was! The cabin is better than the photos, the couches are big and comfy and the kitchen is really great for cooking. They have everything you need to feel at home, little things like salt and pepper and a little cooking oil being handy when you want to fry up the fresh eggs that they shared from their chickens. And the cool evenings and morning were everything we were hoping for after a long day of great snorkeling at the fantastic beaches. Caroline and Scott are great and really go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay on the Big island... can't wait to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. We arrived late but we found our way easily with directions from the hosts. The place is magical, with ferns overhead, frog song and lush foliage and flowers surrounding us. There’s a lovely rustic feel to the cabin and we had everything we needed. The hosts were so kind, helpful and responsive. We were very comfortable in the cabin, out on the deck and the hot tub!
We loved that we were removed from Kona by only a short drive but that it felt like a whole different peaceful escape. We enjoy finding special places off the beaten path and out of the condo world and this place satisfied—we hated to leave. We would have easily been happy doubling our time there.
