Great location

Very nicely decorated condo great for our family of four. Location was perfect and price was great! My kids loved being across the street from the beach while also having a pool to swim in. Condo is small but our young kiddos (5 & 9) fit perfectly in the bunk area at night and it the layout worked well for us. Management company sent multiple communications with information prior to arriving and while we were staying there. They were a little tough to get ahold of when we actually needed a response, but I know they were busy with all the spring break guests. Overall, I’d recommend for family or 4 or less.

Looks better than the pics

Upon arriving we were struck with just how pretty the place was on the inside. It was much bigger than we were expecting. The internet was spotty at best, but you don't really go to the beach for the internet. I would say it was less than a 4 minute walk to the beach. The only complaint I have would be about the company Vacayzen which works alongside the owners of the complex. DO NOT USE VACAYZEN for any of their services. I believe that company to be fraudulent. Overall, my stay was excellent!

We are so thrilled to hear that Gulf Place Cabanas 206 exceed your expectations. The new owners of this unit have been putting so much attention to detail in the updates throughout since they took ownership in the Spring of 2022. Internet can sometimes be spotty here in 30A unfortunately. We are sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with your Vacayzen credit. We will make sure to address this concern. We are so happy to hear that your overall experience was excellent. We hope to host you and your family again in the near future,

Great condo! Location is perfect. Walking distance of everything. The condo was wonderful. Completely clean, adorably decorated and perfect location within Gulf Place. Close to the laundry room (which is free, by the way) and you can see the ocean from the balcony. Pool is heated - and heated well! No other pools in the area were heated like this one in December. There were even beach amenities here. A beach wagon, beach chairs, table and boogie boards. Awesome surprise! We cannot recommend this condo, and this area enough. Well done, owners! And well done Benchmark, the management and cleaning company. There’s literally not one thing we found that was not pristine clean, and I’m picky. We are moving our spring break vacation from another place to this one. Cannot wait to come back!

A fantastic spot!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 4th year in a row we've rented the same place. We love the location! Walking distance to the beach and to several great restaurants! The unit is very spacious with a balcony right over the pool. We always have a fantastic time! The only irritation was with the electrician who wired the bedroom and living room. There isn't a way, barring unscrewing the lightbulbs, to turn on the fans without also turning on the lights. This is pretty irritating at night. But we took out the lightbulbs in the bedroom and just dealt with it in the living room. Overall, a wonderful place and we'll likely be back next year as well!
Response from VrboOwner on 31 May, 2024
Thank you for your feedback and for choosing to stay with us for the fourth year in a row, Christopher! We are delighted to hear that you love the location and enjoy the convenience of being close to the beach and great restaurants. It is wonderful to know that you find the unit spacious and appreciate the balcony view over the pool. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the wiring in the bedroom and living room. Your comfort is important to us, and we will certainly look into this issue to find a better solution for operating the fans independently of the lights. Your feedback helps us improve, and we appreciate your understanding and patience. We look forward to welcoming you back next year for another fantastic stay! Kind regards, Benchmark Management

Below Expectations

This was our 4th yr staying at Cabanas at Gulf Place. And by far the most disappointing. This unit is at best the bear minimum. Looked like what furniture was there may have come from a potters house. We didn't go to watch tv but you would think a tv under 32 in the main area is skimping as cheap as they are now. And there were no instructions on how to connect to the service. There were no dishcloth or potholder for handling hot pans. Also they need to clean the blades on the ceiling fan more than every couple years. A good 1/4 in or more of dust. The bracket on the door frame is missing a screw and probably could be compromised easily.

Nice Condo, Some Frustrations at Check In

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself was very nice, clean, and convenient. Check in was at 4pm and we were driving in from out of town. We arrived at 3:45. The code they gave us didn't work yet, so I called the management company. They told me we had to wait there outside the door for another 15 minutes until 4... this seemed unnecessary as the condo was clearly ready for us. Then, during our stay, the codes to the pool & beach gate kept changing each day. They said it was because it was the start of the month and the codes changed each month, but it was frustrating and annoying. Lastly, the pond on the property had a foul smell that we noticed from our balcony.
Response from VrboOwner on 30 May, 2024
Thanks for staying with us at this condo Anne. We also thank you for your positive cleaning remarks. Please note that all door codes are scheduled to start working at 4pm athat is the check-in time. If you should try the code prior to that; it would not work. We do apologize for the 15 minutes wait period; as once the unit is ready we would remotely let you in. We will make the necessary checks to ensure this does not happen for future stays. In regards to the pool and beach codes; please note that these are provided by the HOA of the complex and not Benchmark and they do change monthly to ensure safety. Thanks also for highlighting the foul smell; we will have our team make their checks to ensure that this will not be present for future stays. We thank you again for choosing to stay with us and do hope we can welcome you again soon for a much better vacation experience which we know we can provide. Regards Benchmark Management

Overall pleasant stay, some things could be better

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a very good location, across from the gorgeous beach and nearby restaurants. It is tastefully appointed and you can tell it was recently updated. Overall it was very clean, however the sofa cover is beyond filthy. It is white canvas and I believe meant to be washable, but it is badly stained with food and even marker. No one in our group wanted to sit on it, which is a shame because there is no here else to sit comfortably. While there is cable- the directions provided did not match the system that is actually in the condo. There are other various codes to be able to enter the beach entrance, pools and laundry room that were never provided. We have to spend several hours our first day trying to contact the management company who sometimes took hours to respond. Last,All of the cooking utensils were carelessly thrown int eh cabinet under the sink, which was dark and dingy. That is where cleaning supplies and perhaps the garbage should go, no cooking utensils. WeWe didn't want to use any of those items. As a vacation property owner, I would suggest management do a sweep of the unit and reorganize and replace the couch cover.
Response from VrboOwner on 13 Nov, 2023
Dear Lauren, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our condo. We're delighted to hear that our location and the recent updates resonated positively with you. However, we deeply regret that the cleanliness of the sofa cover and the discrepancy with the provided directions affected your comfort during your stay. We're sorry for the inconvenience you faced and for the challenges encountered in reaching our management team promptly; however, we are happy to report that we have adopted a few new communication practices since your stay! Your suggestions regarding the organization of the utensils in the kitchen have been duly noted, and we'll certainly reevaluate the arrangement to ensure a more convenient experience for our guests. We truly appreciate your insights and hope that, despite these setbacks, you'd consider returning. If you do, we'll make certain that your experience surpasses your expectations. Sincerely, Benchmark Management
