Located just 1 mile from Historic Smith Mountain tower and trails, this log cabin is sure to give you relaxation with a rustic theme but still have the modern amenities. Furnished w/rustic log cabin theme from tables to beds to chairs and more. Come rock the day away on the front porch with Amish made log rockers & log tables. Boat dock / deck available for those with boats looking to enjoy long days on the lake. Enjoy a peaceful sunset at the lake with a nice crackling fire at the fire pit.

Experience local restaurants such as Niffer’s and Copper Grill only a 15 min drive away or do all of your grocery shopping in town at Renfroe’s and cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Also, only 30 minutes from Auburn!

Probably not the best fit for families

The pros are that property is clean and tidy. It’s best suited for couples or adults only, not for families. Another guest mentioned the amount of rules and guidelines and I looked the other way, but it’s a lot and was hovering over our heads the whole time. There’s no way a family with kids is going to be the kind of guests they’re looking for. If you are Adults only, looking for a quiet spot, this is your place. If not, I discourage you from booking.

Perfect laidback feel

We’ve made a guys trip to Lake Martin the last 3 years. We decided on this property after our last property became permanently occupied. A wonderful cabin feel, tucked in a quiet cove. Awesome place to get away for a few days! Would visit again for sure

Most relaxing vacation ever.

The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. It is a beautiful and clean property. My husband and I made a last minute getaway to celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary. There was zero negative things to report about our stay or the cabin itself. We will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful place

We loved our stay at this lovely log cabin. It was comfortable and a wonderful spot to watch fireworks on 4th of July. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of dishes and things you might need. However, there was only salt and pepper so bring spices/condiments if you like to cook. We didn't use the firepit since it was hot then but bring firewood if you'd like to use it.

Stay at Lake Martin

I have stayed at several VRBO's and I have never seen so many rules and regs. The parking was so small and the dock was in bad shape very hard to maneuver and stained our boat and paddle boards. I told the owner that we were bring a boat and two jet skis and he was like great but there was not any where to keep everything. This house lacks stairs off the back porch so you have to walk all the way around the house every time you go in or out. I must say the house was very well decorated and the furnishing were very good quality probably the best I have seen. We did not like the camera on the back it made us feel like we were being watched. When I covered the camera I received a text to take the cover off.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed 3 days here and were very impressed with the entire property! The house is spacious and very clean. There were plenty of the necessities such as towels, blankets, sheets, etc. The kitchen was fully stocked with all items needed to cook meals. There is even a gas grill on the deck. All appliances were new and in perfect working condition. The neighborhood itself is quiet...a real plus! We brought an 18 ft. fishing boat and it was an easy off-load at the boat ramp just up the road. As the house it at the end of a cove, the water at the dock was calm allowing us to tie up our boat without worry of waves knocking the boat into the dock. Note: if you are considering bringing a boat, a bumper or two is advisable just for peace of mind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again!

Why they chose this property

With available drive up boat dock with full access to all of Lake Martin. We have put a lot of effort to keep a good mix of rustic log cabin feel but still have the modern amenities of today. I know I do and hope you will enjoy the same feel of a unique, very quiet, relaxing area. We allow full access to the house and items with minor exceptions. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom. The main living areas is an all open floor plan with great vaulted ceiling.

What makes this property unique

Our cove and drive up boat dock allows full access to all of lake Martin each day without having to pull your boat out of the water. Favorited places for us are restaurants (kowlagia, parker creek & chucks) as well as Chimney rock hidden beaches or rope swings. Have fun, enjoy and relax. Anything we can do to make your stay more pleasant or personal, just let us know. We will try to accommodate all requests within reason.
