The location made this property perfect for a girls tip! It’s walking distance to wineries and restaurants! The house itself is super cute, really clean, and spacious. Our favorite part is the front porch!
We loved staying here! Amazing house and absolutely beautiful!! Mike and Mary were so amazing and decorated the house for the bride as well which is the nicest thing ever!!!
The house is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. Every room is spotless. The owners add thoughtful touches such as brochures with things to do in town, board games, wine, and s'mores supplies. The location is also fantastic, as you are close to endless wineries and the beach. This was our second year in a row staying here, and we are planning many more. Thank you Mike & Mary for a fantastic stay!
This is such a unique spot in a perfect location for Lake Michigan Shore wine tasting! We loved being walkable to Baroda - such a rare amenity! Mike was amazing and speedy with communication before and during our stay. The only downside of this property is it doesn’t have a dishwasher, but no big deal as long as you plan for it!
I have stayed here previously, and it is a great spot for a large group. The four bedrooms allow for privacy for multiple couples. The large dinning room gives plenty of space for eating and playing board games. The locations is a great spot with wineries all around.
This house is so beautiful and decorated so nicely. You pretty much have everything you can think of. Plenty of space and close to all the wineries. Walkable breakfast spot and walkable to the round barn brewery.
Great home!
Loved our stay at The House on the Hill - everything in this home is so well thought out and nicely decorated. Great location to wineries and other areas to visit. The hosts were extremely receptive and so easy to work with. They gave us ideas and recommendations of places to go with our family. Highly recommend !!!
Beautiful home and great location. Walking distance to several restaurants. Enjoyed my stay. The home was nicely decorated and very clean. I have no complaints, very satisfied with selection. Would highly recommend to others.
We stayed at the house on hills to celebrate my 35th birthday. The house was everything and more. We had such a great stay, the house is beautiful and clean. Everything you could ever need is there. Location was great for wine tasting. We really hope to come back one day. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
The inside of the house is absolutely amazing! The fire pit was so much fun. They thought of everything for your stay. The outside of the property does not match the beautifulness of the inside, however, there are secret hidden treasures of the property, such as the fire pit where you can enjoy some smores and and amazing fire, or the front porch, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the peacefulness of the neighborhood which is simply beautiful. From the moment you walk in its like a warm hug, it feels like home. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the House on Hills for my sister's party. Mike and Mary made it so special by personalizing the house with decorations! It was a really kind surprise. We also appreciated the prompt response to one question about where to find a hair dryer. Overall, a great experience!
This home was so warm and inviting. There was even a friendly presence upstairs. The whole family felt comfortable and safe. The property manager was attentive anf responsive before and during our stay. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with any and everything you could think of. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us Mike! We had an amazing time.
This home has a special charm to it. Beautiful stained glass, vintage sinks and doors, plus all the added decor really makes the home have character. The owners do an amazing job to assure you have what you need. Beds are comfortable and the location is perfect for walking to downtown Baroda or a quick drive to apple picking and vineyards. We would definitely stay here again!
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Perfect location for all the local wineries. We had breakfast at Local which was amazing and right across the road and Round barn brewery is right in the back yard with great food also. The house was adorable, clean, and Mike and Mary even put up cute little decorations for my 40th Birthday celebration. We will definitely come back.
Perfect house for girls weekend in Michigan wine county!!
We loved our stay at the house on the hill. The homes was absolutely beautiful. From the beautiful furnishings, the amazing character of the home to the little details like personalized welcome note from our host. Our host thought of everything. The location is so convenient to walk to restaurants and tasting rooms in town and within in 5 mins to all the other local wineries. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back!
The house was absolutely beautiful. The owners have preserved the original 100+ year old beauty while making it functional to stay in. It was also very clean and in a great location. My family and I will definitely stay here again when we come back up to visit SW Michigan. 10000/10 experience!!
I stayed here with some friends for a weekend of fun and wine! The house is b e a u t i f u l!! Photos don’t do justice. It’s just walking distance to the cute downtown area which was a nice perk!! The coffee shop in town is to die for. We were also gifted wine and a s’mores kit from the host here!! Such a nice gesture. Thank you!!
My sister in loves, along w our daughters had our first weekend together!
To say we had fun is an understatement ~ the House on Hills was fantastic- the eye to details seen in so many ways- great home; great place, great time!
What a great house! So many added little touches to the home that made it more cozy! Celebrated our anniversary and they were so nice to put up decorations. Clean house with so much character. Will book again! ❤️
We have visited Baroda for the past 10 years. Coming up to wineries regularly and becoming wine members to some of our favorites (Round Barn and St. Julian) we quickly fell in love with area and the memories we have made over the years. When an opportunity came up for us to spend even more time in the area we love, we had to jump on it. The reason for hosting on VRBO is to let others experience what we did so many years ago, in a safe and gorgeous historic home.
