Great host, good communication. Rustic older home with upgraded kitchen. No dishwasher but we were not cooking this weekend so worked well for us. Ended up being just two of us due to airline flight cancellation for other couple so enjoyed our private time. Located in quiet neighborhood in Three Oaks just 15 minutes car ride to New Buffalo and the beaches.

Girls concert weekend

Perfect for a weekender!

Wendy's house is perfect - walking distance to downtown Three oaks, plenty of places to eat and shop, in addition to all of the activities in New Buffalo! Wendy was really responsive and accommodating. Hopefully we can book again next year!

Nice getaway

Very cute, felt beachy. Very close to cute downtown and huge distillery. Loved being able to walk a few blocks for coffee. Only negative would be the water pressure was very low and water heater tiny. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

In the area for an extended family commitment

Wendy was very communicative and easily accessible via the messaging app. Check in was very simple and Wendy was very accommodating with our request for a later checkout. The space served our needs for a quick weekend in the area for some extended family commitments. The space did seem a bit dusty, but this is likely more reflective of the local cleaning staff than the owners/hosts as they were lovely to communicate with.

Wedding Weekend Homebase

We had a WONDERFUL stay! We rented this property for our wedding weekend, and used it as our home base for getting ready for our wedding at Journeyman Distillery. The place was plenty big enough for me & my 4 bridesmaids to get ready during the day, and was comfortable for my new husband & I as well as my sister & brother in law to spend the night. The house is adorable and well appointed, and has almost everything you could need! Wendy was very quick to respond and extremely helpful during our stay! Thanks again

The setting is very peaceful, and the owners seemed kind, but unfortunately significant plumbing problems in the bathroom caused us to leave early. There was no coffee pot, kettle or toaster provided. Communication was a bit difficult, so if the plumbing gets fixed, and small detail, this will be a pleasant affordable place to stay.

Brandon, Thank you for your review. As far as the plumbing issues I wish you would have contacted me with these concerns. Our cottage is older and the water connect for the shower doesn’t allow significant pressure but all seems to work just fine. The coffee maker and French press were provided along with coffee so this may have been an oversee. Again, if you would have communicated your issues I would have been more than happy to resolve this during your stay!

We fell in love with the town of Three Oaks and we think you will too. Our cottage is a special place to our family. Our dream was to own a home that allows couples, families, and friends to enjoy all the joys this area has to offer no matter what season it is. We do live in Illinois so while we are away we hope that our renters can enjoy the cottage as we do when we visit the lovely town of Three Oaks!

Three Oaks has all that you need. It is full of quant eateries and shops for families to enjoy. It is also the home of the famous Journeyman Distillery that hosts wedding, spirit tours, and Staymaker restaurant for all to enjoy!
