Great location. Nice cabin. There was no internet and I reached out to two different people to try and resolve the issue with no response. Also, the bed smelled horrible and the sheets were ripped.
A small piece of paradise amongst the smokys. Everything was perfect. Clean, spacious, calm, relaxing and well situated. We we're blown away by the beauty and well maintained area. Definitely recommend.
Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We were looking for a few days away from "life" and stress.
Your cabin was so cozy, beautiful & peaceful. The creek just steps away from the door was so relaxing, listening to the water.
I only wish we could have stayed longer & it was a tad warmer but overall....we absolutely loved this cabin & being in the middle of nowhere.
Hope to stay here again!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
What an amazing location. From waking up to a cup of coffee right next to the creek to having a campfire next to it...the sounds, the scenery. You won't be disappointed here.
Drive down the hill into the valley meadow and feel the stress drain away. Sit next to the creek and read a book. We stayed in Squirrels Nest and will definitely be back. You can stop looking for the perfect spot. You just found it.
We had an amazing experience at Squirrel’s Nest. Such a quaint, peaceful, experience. Back to city life ... we are certainly going to miss the sounds of the creek and the mountain fresh air !
We came up to this cabin to have some family time after our 15th month old son Sebastian passed away from Leukemia. We loved our stay, and will be back again soon!
Thank you!
This cabin is absolutely fabulous! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were home. The space was clean and had everything we needed to prepare and cook our meals. The location could not have been better as the cabin is very close to the creek and the sound of the rushing water was soothing to the soul. The furniture, along with the bed, was so comfortable - we slept like babies. The fire pit was fantastic and having fire wood already at the sight was a real treat so thank you for that very kind gesture.
My only complaint was that we had to leave! This cabin is on my most favorite place to stay list and I can't wait to visit again.
Robin and Sue, thank you so much!!
My wife and I celebrated her recent retirement at this beautiful remote location. The property is gorgeous and well-kept, and we enjoyed every minute of hearing the steady flow of Lands Creek right outside of our cabin. The owner's stay very busy maintaining all of the cabins in good condition. We plan to return this fall for a mountain view cabin to see the fall color.
The property was beautiful and well kept but unfortunately the view from our porch looked at two transport trailers which tainted our view. No comfortable place to put our luggage. The cabin was clean. Don't think Vrbo gave accurate description as to the type of property.
Everything could not have gone smoother. The cabin was just what the doctor ordered! The owner Robin was very accommodating in every way. Cabin was very clean and the location was perfect!! Would definitely return in the future!!!
It is a perfect couples retreat. Beautiful setting. Love hearing the creek right outside. Will return.

About the host
Hosted by Robin Fronrath
We became a part of Bryson City and its people in July of 1999 when we purchased the property that would become Lands Creek Log Cabins. As with many of our friends, we’d visit the Great Smoky Mountains as often as we could and each time it was tougher to go back home. From the first time we drove into this valley and alongside Lands Creek we knew we were meant to be here.
Robin moved up to start working on the site and building cabins in July of 2000. Sue, along with sons Josh and Kyle followed in June 2001. What later became the Squirrel’s Nest Cabin was the only cabin here when we began.
Lands Creek Log Cabins is a business built by the efforts and belief of family and friends. It is a true “family business” in every sense.
By the efforts of many we have grown a great deal in our time. Our grounds are now at 100 acres and the home to 19 wonderful cabins and The Lands Creek Lodge. At the center of it and down by the creek is Harmony Hall.
As we have grown, we have had one goal at the foundation of our business: To touch peoples’ lives in a positive way and to provide the opportunity for memories.
