Super quaint and off the beaten path
Cabin was nice and exactly as advertised as to space and most amenities. We had trouble accessing tv channels and wifi worked but was extremely slow. You could not use streaming services so computer access, Hulu, Netflix, etc wasn't available. However, with that being said - you should plan to use the cabin as a get away and not need those anyway. The driveway is hard to manipulate - if you are in a small car, I'm not sure you could get up the hill. I'm glad we were in a truck. The place was beautiful, and in a very secluded setting way off the main road. The above is not meant to be negative at all, just an FYI that if the above is important to you - and not a beautiful unique setting in the woods -

Beautifully serene
Beautiful, serene and peaceful. We needed a unwind and this place hit the mark. Playing games and hanging out. The fire pit and hot tub were favorites of ours. Great place to just hang loose or a 15 minute drive to town. The farmers market at Darrell's farm was really close as well.

Bittersweet
This is a gorgeous property and I'm sure we would have had a spectacular time if we hadn't been caught in the path of hurricane Helene. I will say, if we had to be stuck somewhere, Serenity Falls was a great place to be stuck! This house is not only pretty, it's as sturdy as a tank; and, it's up on a mountain so there's no chance of flooding. Carlene was great about calling and checking on us, and she also gave us a heads up to shop for food and water and batteries before the storm hit. We did have some fun trout fishing on our first few days, and the road to Harrah's in Cherokee never closed, so that was a great rainy-day activity! We hope to make it back when there's better weather! Prayers for all of those who were impacted by this monumental storm.

Bryson City at serenity falls
The only thing we could possibly say negative. Was the grass had not been mowed. That was just us cause we take our dog for walks. And getting the cabin it hadn’t rained in a while so it was very dusty but that’s expected it being on a dirt road. Over all the stay was excellent. We got to bring my Italian Grey Hound. The cabin is definitely a cabin to rent again our next stay in Bryson. We were there for singing in the smokies. It was dusty there too. They just need rain. Thank you for our stay. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for and was exactly as described. We enjoyed the peace and quiet which allowed us to relax and unwind. Even though it was nice and secluded, location is close in proximity to Bryson City and Cherokee. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property
The grounds of this property are by far the best we have ever experience on VRBO. There is a large fire pit area and a beautiful stream running beside the home. It is so beautiful and peaceful. The rustic (in a good way!) cabin was cozy and met all of our needs and was conveniently located.

Cozy Cabin, Lots of Outdoor Space
My partner and I very much enjoyed our stay at Serenity Falls! In terms of its location, it is both sufficiently remote from town without being so far that obtaining groceries in town is too difficult. It has a lovely yard with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors, while feeling fairly secluded (there is a house within view when the leaves are not out, but the house is situated such that it still feels very private). The pictures do not do the interior of the cabin justice! Aesthetically, it has a wonderfully old-fashioned feel while still having the amenities one would expect in a modern cabin. The living space is open but cozy, with a charming interior balcony and wood paneling throughout. While the outdoor space is more yard than woods, lying in the main upstairs bedroom surrounded by windows that overlook trees gives one the feeling of sleeping in a treehouse (you can even see stars through them on a clear night!). The kitchen is reasonably well-appointed and instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear. They have a "virtual concierge" (a screen in the kitchen with pertinent information) which, while a little out of place in the cabin itself, was at least easy to use. All in all, a beautiful cabin in a choice location for accessing hikes in the area. We are very glad we stayed, and I definitely recommend giving this one a chance if you're looking for somewhere with an open yard, a charmingly old fashioned interior, and modern amenities.

Cute cabin
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Serenity Falls. We brought our two dogs (with permission from Carlene) and they had a wonderful time at the house. We went hiking everyday and to come back to the little cabin was wonderful and felt so nice to be cozy but also have extra space outside. We loved spending time outside while our dogs played in the stream. There is a house within view of the cabin it’s just below the cabin on the mountain but we had no issues and I don’t even think anyone was there. We had a couple questions and Carlene responded right away. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. The only thing we struggled with was the trash, we couldn’t find the dumpster on the way down to the mountain unfortunately. Overall it was a great place to stay with our dogs and the two of us. Plenty of room and fun. Everything was within driving distance so that was a bonus as well.

Relaxing Time at Serenity Falls!
We had such an amazing time at Serenity Falls. It did not disappoint! Carlene, the owner of the home was the best!! She was there to answer any questions and sent the best directions on how to get to the cabin. I would strongly encourage anyone going to the cabin to look and study the directions that Carlene gives because the GPS sometimes may not get you to where Serenity Falls is. Her directions were spot on! The cabin was perfect for us. The babbling creek was a nice touch as well as the hot tub right next to it. We would definitely be back again to stay at this wonderful cabin!

The cabin was very comfortable and clean. All appliances and kitchen accessories are high end. The location was quiet and private and the mountain stream running beside the cabin added a wonderful relaxing feel to our stay. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch was most enjoyable. This Ideal location is very Private all year round, but isn't completely Secluded in the Winter (when all the trees have dropped their leaves, from the front of the cabin, you may see over the top/back side of a neighboring property that is past the parking area and across the field). There is a virtual concierge on the wall beside the bar sitting area. With a touch of your finger, you can find restaurant, activities and videos of how the hot tub works for instance.

What makes this property unique

You will be close to area restaurants, shopping, dining, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee, and Harrah's Casino. Within 10-15 minutes you can be in either Cherokee or Bryson City. A few minutes up the road is 'Coopers Creek Trout Pond' which makes catching your dinner very easy and fun! At Coopers Creek Trout Farm, you will find access to 7-10 miles of hiking trails that are part of the Great Smoky Mountains! You can walk there from the cabin, or drive there, park your car, and explore the hiking trails! Within 15-20 minutes to the west, you can be tubing at Deep Creek (also beautiful waterfall hiking trails and a lovely picnic area), dining or shopping in Bryson City. A little farther and west of Bryson City is the Tsali for Hiking or Mountain Biking, Lake Fontana, The Nantahala Gorge (the N.O.C. with Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, Zip Lining, and more). About the same distance to the east is Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. If your vacation dates are during 'Season' or Holidays and you plan to rent a pontoon or fishing boat, it may be a good idea to reserve in advance! Lake Fontana is primarily National Forest, Smoky Mountains, and Federally owned. Pet Policy Overview: Serenity Falls is Pet Friendly. My Pet acceptance varies, and is based on the amount of space for our 4 legged Guests to enjoy (inside the Cabin as well as the amount of space outdoors). To give you a basic idea, our most common Pet Acceptance Guidelines would be: Up to 2 Pets that are each 40 pounds or less, and He/She may be larger if there is just 1 Pet. Pet Rent is a total of $70.00 per reservation. When a pet has been a Guest, special cleaning procedures are performed and specific products are used.
