Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Beautiful cabin inside and out. We had a great time sitting out at the fire pit or on the porch listening to the creek.
This was our second stay and it never disappoints the grandboys.

Pictures are old and need to be updated because things are a lot older and dated or completely different. The kitchen and bathrooms are really cramped and the showers were so small you could barely turn around and I’m not a big girl. The place needs a really good deal cleaning and we had to wash most dishes before using them. Hot tub was gross and needed to be drained, cleaned and refilled. I think with a deep cleaning it would be great even with the small rooms because the location was great!
House is well kept , we really enjoyed the screened porch overlooking Johnathan creek , the beds where comfortable, close to restaurants , shopping, and attractions, will definitely be back.
This property was very well maintained, clean and had what we needed for a weekend to fish and relax! It is not as private as what the listing seems, but in a convenient location and was nice!
The cabin is so cute! We loved the location and that the owner made sure you had everything needed for a great stay. The screened is porch is amazing, we loved sitting out and enjoying the sound of the creek.
The cabin was everything I'd hoped it would be and didn't disappoint. The creek adjacent to the property is just lovely. I highly recommend this property!
Great location on Jonathan Creek! Even though we were near busy Soco Rd., we felt that we were in a secluded spot. The screened in porch was the perfect spot to hang out, eat, and use the hot tub.
We plan to stay there again.
Great house, loved the location. Driveway entry is rather steep, not sure a car would make it without scraping. Firepit was great, made for wonderful evenings by the creek.
Cute cabin, creek was great to see and listen to. Saw 3 elk come across the creek. Walking distance to most of Maggie Valley which was great . Home owner was very responsive. Highly recommend this property.
The cabin is perfectly positioned in the heart of Maggie Valley. Although centrally located it feels remote. The beds were super comfy and the layout of the home was perfect for our family to have space to spread out but also room to hang out together. The loft is a wonderful space for kids. There are two queen/ full? beds and a hang out space with tv and two couches. We loved spending time in the hot tub, listening to the creek. There is a great backyard leading to the creek which would be perfect for kids in warmer weather. Can’t wait to come back soon!
Wonderful cabin on the creek. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek every night.
Lots of extra things included in the house which helped with things we forgot. She had trash bags, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and dish towels all ready and waiting.
The cabin is quiet and lovely. My boys loved the top floor bedroom and called it “their apartment”. It could maybe use a deep clean, but overall I’d highly recommend staying here! We hope to come back.
I am sorry to leave this review, but clearly there is a problem. We were excited about the location; beside a nice creek with a fire pit. That was the highlight. The screened in porch was okay, but needs cleaning and updating. The pictures of the bedrooms/ furnishings online were very appealing; 4 poster beds and nice furnishings. Upon arrival, we noted the bedroom furnishings had been changed to just a bedframe with worn out comforters. If we had seen the present bedrooms online, we would not have spent our money. The worst part is that we noted/ pictures taken, of rat feces throughout the cabin; on the toilet tissue, the pillows, the comforters, on the baseboards. In the kitchen, we found rat feces on the dinnerware, cookware, in the kitchen drawers. We reached out to the host with pictures; their answer was to bring over a rat trap. We did catch one rat, but others were observed coming from behind the fireplace. Totally disgusting. We had saved all year for a destination family Christmas. The host offered us no other option but to refund 2 nights and find another place. Since it was during the week of Christmas, there was nothing nearby. We had to stay, but we used our own blankets and pillows, sleeping on top of the comforter. We cleaned the kitchen(washed all the dishes, cutlery, pots & pans before we could use them. We requested a full refund, with cleaning fee, the host refunded 1 night. VRBO has been contacted. Property should be taken offline for deep cleanin

Most of our travelers suggested king sized beds would be nice. So we recently upgraded our queens and now even provide two queen sized beds in our loft area. Lots of room to spread out!
Unfortunately, nature has its way of finding a nice warm house. We have never had any issues with field mice. (We have field mice in the mountains) However, one managed to squeeze in for Christmas. There was no evidence of him just hours before our guest's arrival. It's funny the next guests didn't get to see him at all. I (the owner) personally check our rentals just before guests arrive. We try our best to make all guests stay a great one. We and our cabins aren't perfect. We try but we can't control everything.
Great little place for the price. Well stocked kitchen which is always a plus.
Cons: You have to make your own beds. They put blankets on the beds but no sheets?!? I personally don’t like making beds on vacation. Also, there is zero insulation between floors. You hear every word and squeaky move upstairs. You can’t go to sleep if anyone moves in the upstairs loft. Important if you’re putting children up there. Property is older and not remodeled.
Great location! River and fire pit are great. Cozy overall. Would stay again.

Not what we expected.
The property is cute however not what we expected from the pictures. It is not secluded at all like it appears. Showers are super small, 6 foot male had to bend down to get hair wet. Washer and dryer are not inside the cabin, it is in a shed attached to back of the cabin. No heat in the room where the washer and dryer are. Beds were not made, clean sheet sitting on corner of the bed. Hot tub super small but was aware of that from other reviews. Never received check in email. Creek was nice but not for people with young children.

The property is not secluded. Sorry, we don't mention that in our description. For guests not familiar with the area, anything located directly on the rushing part of Jonathan Creek is going to be surrounded by other cabins or businesses. Everyone wants to be on the creek:)
As I mentioned, this cabin is located on a rushing, deep creek. It is not a stream or branch. Children should always be supervised.
We send check in information directly to the email our guests provide Vrbo. Lately these have been ending up in guest's spam folder. For that reason, we have begun sending information through Vrbo as well.

The home and location are beautiful! If it were mine for rental income I would do a way better job of cleaning inside and out so visitors would feel welcome and want to come back. Upon arrival I had to take the broom to the exterior steps and furniture to remove spiders, webs and debris. The entire outside needing a good pressure washing, green moss was growing on the door mat and steps. The oven was nasty, I hated to bake dinner rolls in it. The laundry room was loaded up with spiders and webs. The dirt and leaves could have at least been swept before we arrived. I just was disappointed that they knew we were coming and nothing was swept clean for us. The hot tub was wonderful, but there was no where to throw a wet towel or bathing suit to let it dry. The bathrooms were tiny and had no where to put your things. The river was beautiful and sounded great, but I probably won't return. We have rented many cabins and they have always been clean and welcoming except this one.
The host was great. The cabin was spacious, the hot tub was clean and relaxing, the sound of the creek running in the back yard was my favorite. We will be back!
We enjoyed our visit to Maggie Valley! The cabin was centrally located to so many places that we were able to get in the car and go visit! We loved the creek, large yard and porch that overlooked the beautiful mountains. Our children enjoyed the visit as much as we did. We also used the fire pit to make s’mores one night .Thanks for being great hosts!
