Enjoy the Creek & Waterfall, hot tub in our 2 bed/2 bath cabin. Easy access

You have found the place for that great quite getaway. Sit on the front porch and watch the cows cross the mountain. See the horseback riders come by. You can sit on the deck out back and listen to the waterfall while enjoying the hot tub. The backyard is a great place for reading, cooking out on the charcoal grill, viewing the wildlife and just relaxing. You have all the solitude of being away, but, are conveniently located to town. You are located 15 minutes outside of Maggie Valley in the Fines Creek community. You are 20 minutes to Waynesville and 30-40 minutes to Asheville.

You are 15 minutes from Maggie Valley in the little farming community of "Fines Creek" on Max Patch Rd., Clyde.

This is where you will unwind, enjoy, and not want to go home. You will not find another home that has this much peace and tranquility.

Cozy and comfortable!

This home was so cozy and comfortable — a perfect reprieve after long days spent hiking. I loved watching the cows, birds, and fireflies and listening to the stream. The drive along 209 to get to the house is also very scenic.

I did not stay at the cabin. The listing is verymisleading. I contacted the host for a refund and she refused. There is a surveillance camera mounted by the front door, there is clutter under the porch and bird houses laying in the back yard. Trash around the fire pit. Part of the fence is laying on the ground. This cabin sits on a curve of a very busy hwy. We did not feel safe at all. I do not recommend. The pictures are very misleading.

I have had nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews. Everyone loves the location and the cabin. The camera points to the driveway. You stated you felt unsafe and then complained about a busy road. It is a country 2 lane road. You did not even go in. The fence (which is just for appeal) was put back up that day, as AT&T had taken it down to do repair work. It does not sit on a curve. You did not even walk inside the cabin. You were just looking to get your monies back, and it states clearly that the cabin is in the farming community of "Fines Creek" 15-20 minutes outside of town. Do not rent to this guest, as she wants only monies back.

Cabin was clean and as described. Instructions from the host were spot on. Had no issues while we were there. Location was perfect for me, but as the host says on the site, it is a few minutes outside of town on a rural road. Would highly recommend.

Perfect for us! Grandparents and one 10 year old grandchild. He loved playing in the creek, waterfall and large yard. We enjoyed the spa and watching him.(Lol) Size of the house was just right, and clean. Took a minute to get used to the mattresses (we are used to foam), but we slept well. Within 30-60 minutes of places we wanted to visit. A really good diner just down the road. Food Lion about 10-15 minutes, walmart about 20-30. Everthing we needed. Would definitely return!

Grandkids mountain getaway

We have stayed here before and loved it and thought it would be perfect for the grandkids so we booked it again they loved the creek if we were just hanging around the cabin for the day it kept them busy for hours..

This has been such a fun retirement project for my husband. This is a 1938 farm house that he has totally renovated. The home has a great history. He has gone in and remodeled and/or restored everything. All furnishings/appliances/fixtures are new. We love the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area where we have two larger homes that we built for our children and our 5 grandchildren to enjoy. We have made many great memories and hope to make many more. My grandparents always brought me here when I was a child and I want to have those same memories for my grandchildren. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We could have not asked for a more suitable place for a getaway. It has everything my husband and I wanted. You are 20 minutes from Maggie Valley and Waynesville. 35 minutes from Asheville and 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. We are located where you can get to anywhere you need, but, also can enjoy the peace and tranquility of country living.

What makes this property unique

Our home is pet friendly, extremely motorcycle friendly, we both ride, and most importantly grandchildren friendly. Great area to hike and enjoy the scenery.
