Angoulins is a typical fishing village bordered by the ocean, located 7 km from the center of La Rochelle which is accessible either by a cycle path along the seaside or by train. The train station is 500 m from the house and arrives directly at the city center of La Rochelle about 1/4 of the way.

This village has a very large commercial area with a Carrefour hyper-market. In the center of the village all local shops, and a covered market, bicycle rental.

Angoulins beach is 400 m from the house via the cycle path.
The house overlooks the small port of Loiron decorated with a postcard, at high tide the water is at the foot of the staircase of the descent to the sea where you bathe.
The house faces south and is sheltered from westerly winds, which allows you to eat outside almost always. Very very quiet and charming place, out of the summer rush.

All sports activities nearby with sailing and kitesurfing school, equestrian center, tennis lessons, swimming at the foot of the house. Visits to La Rochelle, the islands of Aix, Oléron and the Ile de Ré without forgetting Fort Boyard and Green Venice. Bike rides along the coast etc ...

About 5 km away is the seaside resort of Châtelaillon, also accessible by the cycle path. Châtelaillon has a large thalassotherapy center, a casino and a very large beach with all water sports.
