We were excited to stay during our wedding weekend, but when we arrived was surprised with all the cobwebs throughout the house. Windows, floor, floorboards, stairs. We understand it is an old house, but felt it was dirty.

We were in town for the NASCAR race and this was a wonderful place to stay. We got there on Friday and were able to hear the local high school football game. (Not too loud). They crushed their opponent 48-7. The house had all we needed for cooking and felt real home like. It was secluded and gave you some peace after being around people all day. It’s conveniently located near some grocery stores as well. Also Casey’s for some pizza. The TVs came in handy for football. This was a guys trip where our wives where not there and we had plenty of space to not be in each others business. The commute to the track was a sure shot and would totally recommend if you are headed to the Kansas Speedway. There is a great outlet mall close by as well. I would recommend going to Grandmas burger box as well. Cute little farm house and town if you want to escape feeling like you are in suburbia. 10/10

We had a great time staying the house. Perfect place to stay. Just far enough off the road to be a little secluded. Nice little get away.

We were looking for a quiet and inviting place for a planning retreat. This provided exactly what we needed. Time on the covered porch during a soft shower was most relaxing between sessions. The comfortable and spacious living room was perfect for conversing in the evening and the large table in the dinning room was quite efficient for our collaborative planning all day long. If it did not rain most of the day, the back porch would have been equally efficient for collaboration. Definitely would return again.

Great location, super cute house!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Thankfully very close to Deer Ridge Estates which was our son's wedding venue. The owner was quick to respond to questions and the house was very well stocked. Would definitely recommend to others!

Excellent and beautifully maintained home.

Our family enjoyed the cleanliness, gorgeous antique furniture, and the lovely sprawling property. Well equipped kitchen and the bedrooms were lovely. Very comfortable beds! My only drawback was that one of the bedrooms did not have a/c but otherwise A+!

Excellent location

The property was as listed and the location was close to McLouth, Lawrence and KC. The owner was quick to respond when there was a local power outage. The only downside was that we had to refill a propane tank.

Wayne, I apologize for the grill tank being empty. We check the tanks regularly but, unfortunately, I have a lot of struggles with guests leaving the tanks on & running the propane out. I am glad you enjoyed your stay though, thank you for choosing the Saunder Inn!

Farmhouse Peace

Such a unique and inviting place! We felt like we stepped back in time, but with all the creature comforts of modernity. Property is just as described and spotlessly clean. The front porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening deer watching. If we are in the area again this will be my first pick. Also, property owner was easy to communicate with and a great host!

Amazing place out in the countryside!

This is such a beautiful place out in the country. Check in was seamless. Only thing I would say is Google maps took me to the wrong road at first, but was able to find it quickly afterwards. Very clean with everything you would need. Just wish I had more time to spend there! Thanks Joe
