About this property

Truly Wonderful Cape Cottage

Cottage #4 was completely renovated for my personal use and never intended as a rental. Well a move to the West Coast changed all that. So…Cottage #4 has everything I love and wanted in a cottage, a big kitchen designed for a cook.. with great appliances, great pots and pans, good knives, big gas stove, Bosch dishwasher, redwood counters, and an old soapstone sink. The bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed, large window and skylight. The bathroom is beautiful and has a full sized washer and dryer, but the outdoor shower is all you will use. There is a big screen porch overlooking a private yard and wooded wetlands. The cottage has cable TV (flat screen), and high speed internet. Its a spacious cottage perfect for two people. Just 2 miles to the national seashore beaches and a a short walk to beautiful Fort Hill and views of Nauset Marsh. My past guests have all said how much they feel at home in the cottage...and never want to leave.

I have a wonderful housekeeper who ensures the cottage is clean for the next guest. She is only available on Sundays. So the cottage is rented weekly from Sunday to Sunday. Please note, guests do need to provide their own sheets and towels. Otherwise the cottage is well stocked.

All the reviews did not lie - we had a fantastic time at Michael’s cottage! We enjoyed eating on the screened in porch after a long day at the beach, and felt that everything we needed was in the kitchen. The cottage is cozy, beautiful, and very aesthetically pleasing may I add. We had such a wonderful time and are seriously considering staying there again. No complaints!

The cottage was very different than anything we had rented in the past. It was trendy without being stuffy. There are pieces of artwork in every room, but it's not overdone. We found it very comfortable. The location worked well for us. We don't spend the hours that we used to at the beach but the National Seashore being minutes away was perfect. On the owner's recommendation, we found some good new restaurants. We had a nice week.

Our first time on Cape Cod and we thought Eastham was a great location. The National Park was just a couple miles away. We walked for miles on beaches and trails. We also went to Provincetown for a hike and great dinner afterwards. The cottage was as described. It was quaint and had everything we needed. We loved the yard and Ft. Hill was right down the road. I appreciated the binoculars which we took on every hike. They were great for spotting and observing seals. The best review I can give is we would stay at the cabin again.

Wonderful time

Very nice stay and wonderful cabin. Close to many attractions and favorite beaches. Had everything we needed there and it is beautifully decorated. Nice for walking our dog in the area too. We were very pleased with our stay there.

This is a wonderful summer cottage with a great screened in porch. It’s compact, but just the right size for my husband and I enjoying a second year of renting this property. It’s within easy walking distance of Fort Hill and its beautiful views of water and marsh. You’re also close to the National Seashore, stores and restaurants.

Had lived in Boston when I bought the cottages. I now live in Santa Barbara and manage a winery. This cottage is my sanctuary, where I go to relax and escape. A lot of love has gone into this cottage.

Why they chose this property

When I bought this property, it included all four cottages. I loved the proximity to Fort Hill and for many years would bring my whole family together.... everyone had a cottage. Moving to West Coast made this all difficult to manage, so sold off two cottages to friends. For many years we had our own compound, was a lot of fun.

What makes this property unique

I love to cook, and the cottage was designed to cook for a crowd. Its the best equipped rental kitchen you will find. The cottage is also filled with a mix of flea market treasures and beautiful art.
