About this property

Casa Mina #5 Near to Downtown

Step into a beautifully restored 1910 apartment where historic charm, art-filled spaces, and genuine downtown walkability create a stay you'll actually remember. Casa Mina is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat in El Paso's quietest, most characterful neighborhood — private entry, fully equipped kitchen, and free secure parking included.

I am available through websites DM or text message.

CASA Mina is situated in El Paso's Rio Grande Historic District in West Downtown El Paso where you will find homes built in the early 1900's with a very distinct architect design.. You can visit El Paso's famous Scenic Drive 5 min away to get a view of both El Paso and our neighbor city of Juarez, Mexico.

PARKING & ARRIVAL

Free, secure, private parking in a back lot off the street. Your vehicle is protected and out of public view — a valued feature for work travel or when carrying full luggage. Automated self check-in combined with responsive host support means your arrival is smooth and entirely on your own terms. You come and go on your schedule.

LOCATION & NEIGHBORHOOD

Casa Mina sits in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood within the El Paso River Historic District — genuinely safe and beautifully preserved. Less than 20 minutes on foot from downtown El Paso's restaurants, galleries, bars, and cultural events. You're near UTEP campus and the International Museum of Art. Quick access to anywhere in the city you need, yet removed from the noise and bustle.

WHY GUESTS LOVE IT

Visitors consistently describe Casa Mina as standing apart from typical El Paso rentals. One recent guest said: "This was truly one of the most beautiful Airbnbs I've ever stayed at. So much character & old school charm, & art everywhere." Another noted: "Beautiful, unique and charming place in a quiet historical neighborhood. Our stay was perfect!! Worth every penny!"

The combination of authentic historic charm, genuine art-filled personality, downtown walkability, private entry, and real independence creates a stay that feels like discovering a local secret rather than renting a standardized space. Your host is responsive, attentive, and clearly invested in maintaining the property with pride in its historic restoration.

This is the choice for couples, solo travelers, and small groups seeking authentic downtown El Paso character while living in a beautiful, private, fully self-contained home.

THE SPACE

This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with a private, independent entrance. You have complete autonomy and genuine privacy — your own self-contained home within a beautifully restored historic building.

The apartment blends authentic 1910 architectural character with thoughtfully curated midcentury and vintage decor throughout. Art is woven into every room, giving the space personality and visual warmth that guests describe as "super interesting, with details that don't feel like any typical stay." It's the kind of place where you notice something new each day.

BEDROOM & BATHROOM

One bed provides your sleeping space. The bathroom features a bathtub — a genuinely distinctive amenity in El Paso where many rentals offer only standard walk-in showers. The tub invites the kind of long soak many El Paso visitors have been craving. A bidet adds comfort and convenience. Hot water is reliable throughout your stay.

KITCHEN & COOKING

Your kitchen is fully equipped for any meal plan. Full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, cooking basics, and complete dishes and silverware mean you can prepare breakfast, work meals, or accommodate special dietary needs with ease. Whether you're fueling up before exploring the city or cooking a quiet dinner in, you have everything you need.

WORK & CONNECTIVITY

A dedicated workspace with high-speed Wi-Fi supports remote work seamlessly. An on-site business center and reception area are available in shared spaces if you need a change of scenery or conference-call quiet — but it's entirely optional. You maintain complete freedom in how you use your space.

COMFORT & UTILITIES

Air conditioning and heating manage year-round comfort. An on-site washer is available for laundry during your stay. Hot water flows reliably. These essentials keep extended stays practical and comfortable.

You can ride El Paso's Street Car by walking a few blocks down or Uber or simply catch the bus right at the corner of the house.

It was ok

This home with rented out rooms was different. The bathtub hose did not latch to top of the water pipe so one had to hold the handle the whole time and water pressure was so high water sprayed everywhere! The window in the bedroom had a pull down curtain which they said it was blacked out but in reality one could see everything inside the room! The windows in the kitchen had no curtains nor privacy so the surrounding houses could see everything! The door to the room had a crack so if someone wanted to peak through the crack you could see some of the inside of the room. The area was very shady .. houses in the front were boarded up. The apartment was cozy and we made the most of it

Charming

I spent a Christmas weekend here with my husband. It was perfect for the two of us. We were able to get groceries and cook food there since everything was closed. The TV was in a great place to hang out on the bed and watch movies. It definitely has some old house quirks but nothing that was an issue. Parking in the back was nice. The neighborhood was fairly quiet. Only suggestions I have for the owner are to add some instructions for the oven/stove and have a pan for cooking in the oven. I didn’t realize I had to manually light it (they did provide a lighter) and started it. I quickly realized I smelled gas and turned it off.
