Montana Mountain Majesty, Holiday Light show to music! Come enjoy Montana in ALL it's SEASONS! Longer stay discounts. Children Welcome! 900 sq ft, 2 3/4 acre TROUT pond. 11 acres working Ranchette WITH 360 degree VIEWS/ * We have farm animals, chickens, cows, horses and Peacocks and Pea Fowl families.. Wildlife often present. On DEMAND HOT WATER SYSTEM, DISH TV, New Starlink Very fast WIFI. Desk available if needed for working. Also pack n Play available. An additional bathroom available in building if needed. Can sleep up to 11. Full kitchen/Appliances /small appliances & dishes, Full laundry/soap. Larger expandable dining table with more chairs.
**NO PETS/SMOKING ,No Marijuana or Vaping/DRUGS/ALCOHOL /EVENTS ON PROPERTY PLEASE!!!**Due to past violations of these rules, we will impose a $500 penalty fee for violations! Due to type of our property and for safety, these Rules for your protection. Impairment can be a problem, especially with full flight of stairs, walking around property, and behaviors towards self and others. Please do not inquire for us to change our rules. Sharon is allergic to the smoke and helps clean the units. Guests might not read the rules, so feel need to post important ones in many places to avoid future conflict and confusion. Thanks for understanding.
In winter the pond is constantly freezing and thawing. No walking on the pond ice in winter. Temperatures shift daily and within a day the ice can get dangerously thin.
Watch the wild geese slide in on ice when they land sometimes.
We also have another BnB called Montana Mountain Moods located on ground level that is handicapped accessible, no stairs, which sleeps up to 7. The Moods bath/shower has a hand held shower head, and a wheelchair can be pushed next to tub.
Close to skiing resorts.
Children are welcome with YOUR supervision. Books and games available for families and children, as well as TV and DVD's and free Wifi. Our facility and 11 acres are evolving as we are trying to improve. Some areas are not completed as yet.
There is a 50 mile bike/hiking trail from Missoula to Hamilton located close by for spring and summer enjoyment. We are located 22 miles south of Missoula Montana for shopping, movies, sports and cultural events. Florence is located 5 miles away for groceries, gas, restaurants, pharmacy, and hardware needs.
Stevensville is south of Florence and is the first settlement of Montana.

3 Fishermen's Retreat

Everything was fine as advertised, but the wooden steps to this 2nd floor unit were steep, long and short in foot depth. The steps made hauling luggage and supplies difficult. It would be helpful if the owners added a railing to the building side of the steps.

Thank you for choosing us and the review! Our stairs are advertised in pictures and are built to code. A second railing could be a good idea, however it would also limit the width of the stairs. WE will consider that idea. Unloading large loads of gear in one trip compounds problems. We have found that taking more trips slower and carrying less baggage on each trip is effective. Also we could have assisted in carrying the luggage up the stairs for you as well. Other ideas. Thanks for staying with us. You all looked like you were having such a great time on your trip.

A wonderful, family friendly, affordable option.

Dave and Sharon were welcoming hosts, that even let our children see the wonders of their working hobby farm! The Majesty unit was much more than the listing suggested! Room around the large table for 7 to eat, stocked kitchen, a second bedroom with 2 bunks, 1 with a trundle and room to relax as a family in the large living area. The house was conveniently located for exploring the Bitterroot Valley.

We know that our place is not as pristine and polished as we would like and have been judged negatively by some for that, but we try to make it feel like a home away from home as well as people feel welcome. Dave is a local television producer, retired, who loves his large family, America, John Wayne, wildlife & out of doors. Sharon has been a Cosmotologist, Massage Therapist, LCPC using Craniosacral therapy making a Psychosoma therapist, loves our family as well, sewing, crafting, quilting, gardening, family history, Cut and Carved Candles and helping others.

Why they chose this property

Our Property is 11 acres of rural Montana. It has a unique feature of a 2 3/4 acre trout fish pond and aquatic Eco environment. We have a small farm as well with chickens, turkey, horses, cows, small dogs and our outside cat Zeke.
We can offer catch and release fishing (weather permitting), as well as you can choose quality family time with badminton or Vollyball , or a have a picnic in the new Gazebo or orchard by the pond, or smores over an open campfire sharing happy memories and songs. Guests have commented how nice it was to put away technology and just have special time with their family or friends relaxing at our property creating memories. Some have used this as a base camp for rock climbing, or national park visiting or just to relax and get away from work on a vacation, or come here to work! We have regular wifi plus a higher speed of 36 mgb wifi available, Request higher wifi early when you book as it may take up to 24 hours to boost. May not be boosted over the weekend.
The photos mostly were taken with a GoPro so that we could get the room in the shot, so the rooms will look bigger or distorted some as a result. We are not trying to trick you. Majesty is 900 sq ft of space, Moods is 600 sq ft of space.

What makes this property unique

BnB vacationing lets guests enjoy cooking for themselves or bringing in food as desired. Our BnB has a warmer atmosphere with more beds than a regular motel, full kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, some staples, laundry and soap, towels and bedding. Guests can enjoy their vacation together, enjoy more space, and unique settings. Some people even have rented both units for family or friend gatherings to be closer spending more time together.
