Boost intimacy with contemporary, maritime décor to enchant all seafarers and land lovers alike. Weigh anchor, grab the helm and set your GPS for “Tern Inn”. Engrossed with lavish hardwood floors, 4 well-appointed bedrooms, expansive sun and covered decks and only 725 feet to the beach!
The screened-in porch awaits that new novel you haven’t found time for or choose from the book library and games presented at your treasured retreat.

Been in seasonal traffic and don’t want to quite unpack yet? Your beach chairs and umbrella are also provided for immediate fun in the sun! Or, bring out your inner bartender at the Wet Bar for the thirst quenching companion. Enjoy the outdoor shower (with hot water) and use the outdoor fishing cleaning table to prepare your big catch.

You will have access to corn hole boards and boogie boards also!

Ocean Sands community amenities include a seven acre stocked fresh water fishing lake abundant with waterfowl, tennis courts in sections D, F, and H and quiet roads for romantic walks or family bike-rides.

With an emphasis on heritage and a basket of savory snacks to sustain until sunset, explore the breathtaking timeless beauty of wide open beaches, the Wild Horse Museum, Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Keepers House.

Please be sure to let me know if anything needs attention so I can have it looked at prior to the next guest checking in. Please empty all interior trash and place in the outside trash bins.
Make sure the bins are on the side of the house closest to the wooded area. If they are full , please move out to the curb.Housekeeping should be at the house on around 10:00.
Make all beds and place pillows back onto beds. Please leave them as you found them. Any open food must be thrown away. Unopen food / not used can stay.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for a long weekend as a family. The house was spacious, clean, and only about a 5 minute walk to the beach access. Jason was responsive and helpful, and a great host. We will definitely be back.

In short, we had a lovely time. The place was in a great location, walking distance to a grocery store, 3 minutes from beach, and beside a bonus tennis/pickle ball court!The house was very well stocked, paper products, seasonings, cookware. The kitchen had a great stove, dishwasher like my own at home! We enjoyed at least a half dozen home cooked meals while here. The owner was very easy to communicate with, I would rent this place again.

End of Summer Getaway

My friend and I selected this location as an end of summer trip with our husbands! The home was perfect and just a couple blocks from the beach! We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay! Would definitely choose this property again, as we still have lots of the OBX to explore!

PERFECT LOCATION

FROM START TO FINISH, I COULDN'T HAVE FOUND A BETTER BEACH HOUSE FOR THIS AREA. IT'S IN A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD, AND AN EASY DRIVE TO ANYTHING LOCALLY.THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN, NEAT, AND WELCOMING. Great location, excellent hosts

The hosts were exceptionally helpful and very responsive. The house was clean, and very well furnished with household and outdoor items. Anything you would want for a trip to the beach was provided, and was in excellent condition. The location is ideal for a stay on the northern end, close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Thoughtful Hosts & A Perfectly Stocked Getaway

We had an excellent stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless and well-organized. It’s clear the owners take great pride in keeping the space clean and welcoming. Communication with the owner was top-notch; he was friendly, responsive, and even went out of his way to share local restaurant recommendations, which we really appreciated.What stood out most were the thoughtful extras that went above and beyond our expectation. From beach chairs to bikes, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, and even K-Cups for the Keurig. These small touches made a big difference and added to the comfort and ease of our trip.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-stocked, and thoughtfully managed getaway.

Fabulous location and a beautifully appointed house

I loved this house; it was perfect for our little family (my husband, our two year old, 7 month old, and me). It was really nicely finished - you can tell the owners love this place! And also had so much equipment (kitchen had everything you could possibly want, and then lots of stuff for the beach!). Beach was super close and nice that it was a residents only access so it wasn't busy. Highly recommended!

Great house, location, & overall experience.

The house was clean and pleasant. It is "bright and open" just as described. I was afraid that it would be a little too cozy (family of 6), but it was cozy and spacious at the same time; probably because of the open design. We loved being able to see & speak to one another whether we were up or down stairs. We had room to spare. The house had so many little extra touches (beach chairs, boogie boards, balls, bikes, rackets, gas grill, screened porch, basketball/tennis/pickleball court in the community and more!), that we wanted for nothing and were very comfortable the entire time. It was a pleasant and short bike ride to the Harris Teeter shopping center, and an easy walk or bike ride (we did both several times) to the beach. It's a very nice and a quiet community. Jason, the owner, was very responsive, helpful, and communicative the entire time. The beds were also very comfortable! They also had nice, stainless steel cookware (including some Alclad!). We may very well be back to this rental in the future! We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

Beautiful home in Corolla!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at Jason's property in Aug 2020. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils,  the couches were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and functional, and the beds were comfortable as well. The only thing this property doesn't have is a washer/dryer. The walk to the beach is less than a block and the home is in close proximity to grocery stores. We felt safe in the property and noticed that security patrolled the neighborhood. The outdoor shower and hose was perfect for coming in off the beach and the covered parking was nice to have! Overall Jason was very responsive when we had a question about the TV and we would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a great vacation!

Superb location

This property was perfect for our socially distanced vacation/mini-honeymoon. The house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and we used the grill almost every day! The bathrooms were fabulous (both my husband and I are picky about water pressure and the showers are excellent). And the best part is the location! The beach is literally a 2min walk on a private street! The section of beach is never crowded and has a lifeguard on duty during the day. Watch out for the biting flies if the wind is blowing from west! Also, the community pool is nice for a change from the beach if needed. There is a grocery store just around the corner from the house. Most important, Jason was very pleasant and quick to respond. He checked in to make sure we got in okay and that everything was good with the house. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great experience in OBX!

My mom, sister, and I stayed at Jason's home for a week in June, 2021. We had a great time and found the home to be perfectly suited to our needs. It was spacious and laid out well, with lots of separation between the bedrooms. Both of the showers have amazing water pressure and the stone floor in the upstairs bathroom made it feel like a spa. The beach is a short walk away (about 2 blocks) and the home was equipped with beach chairs and umbrellas for our use, which were awesome to have. The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after the beach (and it had both hot and cold water, so it was always a perfect temperature), along with a separate dressing area and hooks to keep dry clothes dry while rinsing off. Jason, the owner, was great with communication and made sure everything was in working order. The only complaint we had was that we had to bring our own sheets, pillowcases, and towels, which was inconvenient. They took up a lot of available space in our luggage (we flew in) and by the time we made it to the home on our first night, it was after 11:00 pm and we had been traveling for 14 hours. Having to make our own beds was disappointing, but Jason had clearly communicated this so at least we were prepared. Having looked at other rental homes in the area, and talking to some locals, it appears not providing linens is fairly common in this area, so this definitely isn't the only property with this practice. In fact, when you walk into the grocery store (located super close to the home), the first items are rows of sheets, which we found telling. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the OBX and at Jason's home in particular and would definitely book this home again if we return.

A great combination of privacy and close proximity to beach, golf, tennis, groceries and fresh seafood. Jason has thought of everything when this beach house was stocked. From bicycles to everything you would need for a day at the beach followed by a fresh crab cookout. Great vacation.

Great vacation!

This property was perfect for our family. My wife and I and our three adult sons enjoyed this home very much. There was something for everyone. The house was very clean. Jason provided everything we needed for the beach (boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, etc.) It was a very short 3 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.
