Our family had the best time making precious memories. We shared meals around the table, played games, worked puzzles, and sat together by the fire pit. God is so good to bless us with each other and a beautiful weekend in a lovely home.
We had the best time with 3 families staying in this amazing mountain home. It had tons of space and we loved all the outdoor entertainment. Great location with a short drive to many blowing rock attractions.
Perfect for large family gathering with kids. Loved the separate wings - allowed kids to have their space at night, as well as adults. Loved all the amenities - fire pit, hot tub, and creek!
The house is great. I feel like the pictures don’t do it justice. There were a few minor hiccups like the hot tub not working the first day and a half but the rental company was on top of it and fast to fix it. The location is perfect!
We loved the location and space that this home offered us. We sat on the back patio and listened to the water behind the home; we took our kids on nature walks; explored the area around us and had so much fun. The property manager was helpful and the maintenance team was extremely kind. We’d love to come back.
This house was awesome for a large gathering of family and friends of all ages. Lots of space for everyone. We all enjoyed the outdoor space with the gas fireplace and tv/ bar area and the kids had a great time making a fire in the fire pit for s’mores. Small issues were handling quickly with the property manger. Would definitely rent this again in the future!!
Overall the property was very nice. Our nine year old granddaughter loved the game room. The fenced-in section of the yard was great for our doodles. However, it needed a thorough cleaning, especially vacuuming.
The setting was beautiful and the house is extremely roomy so would be great for a large group. Blowing Rock and Boone are super close. The creek running through the backyard and the quiet of the area was amazing. Would definitely rent this cabin again.
Everything was as expected. There were some items that were not cleaned up after the last guest. We brought them to the property manager and they notes it. We also lost power for about 2 hours. The property manager was available to assist us through it. Luckily the power came back on.
My family and I stayed here for my wedding in Purlear. House is great for big groups as it is large and bedrooms are spread out. Great location, just be careful driving at night.
We absolutely loved our stay at Moss End. Perfect for our family of 15 which included 6 kids 5-16 years of age and 9 adults. Plenty of space and awesome game room that the kids loved! Adults loved the outdoor area and our pup loved the fenced yard. Only complaints are as follows: keyless entry didn’t work and took about 45 minutes to be able to get into the house, box spring in basement bedroom was broken and the pull out sofa in the 7th bedroom was ok but would be great if there was an actual bed in there. Overall we loved our stay and we will definitely be back!! Location is truly perfect, too!
This large house worked extremely well for our extended family. There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and family areas including a fun gameroom. The kitchen was well stocked as were the bathrooms. Nice outdoor areas including fenced yard for our dog. Very private and close to Blowing Rock and Boone.
Minor issues were house wasn’t as clean upon arrival, no outdoor table for eating outside (although outdoor kitchen was nice) and limited communications by management company.

The property was fabulous. There were however many repaurs needed and the outside kitchen was filthy . There needs to be more hand rails by the shorter sets of stairs. The pull out bed had mouse drppings in it and t bye basement bathroom had mildew.
House was perfect for what we needed. Family was able to spread out. I loved that the bedrooms were in different areas of the house. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed. Would go back for sure!
Property is beautiful. The housekeeping needs improvement as windows in LR, Kit, & DR were very dirty. Dishes left in dishwasher. Food caked on microwave table.
Maintenance needs improvement, french doors to outdoor area don't latch properly, high wind opens them. Outdoor fireplace in need of repairs. Propane for grille empty.
Property manager was prompt to notify us of issue with previous tenant damaging indoor fireplace. Responded very well to other minor issues during stay.
This house has a great layout for a large family. Easy to get in once we arrived. Plenty of rooms to spread out in. Loved the many porches to allow for reading and quiet time. However we were only given 2 garbage bags for a 4 day stay. 2 dishwasher tablets and not enough toilet paper and only one roll of paper towels.. For a family as large as mine who cooks a lot and spent much of our time at the cabin.... simply not enough supplies .
The house I’m sure in its day was spectacular... but we found it to be somewhat run down ... it is in need of a major cleaning and painting. Sooty cobwebs at the ceiling, dusty bedside tables, some broken furniture, outdoor sink broken.
We still enjoyed our stay- the hot tub, fire pit and outdoor grill all came In Handy. I would suggest a major spring cleaning when the season allows.
This house had plenty of ohs and ahs. We were a party of eleven. A house that allowed everyone to either gather together or to go to private places. The common area was large, the kitchen very well equipment and the area was wonderful. We did have a couple of maintenance issues which was effectively resolved. It should be noted that the indoor fireplaces are gas, no wood needed, and the televisions are large, digital but unable to receive local stations without a subscription service (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.)
