Family Friendly Grand Getaway in the middle of Historic Lake Placid!

Location, Location, Location! Our second Getaway in Lake Placid is in the heart of the Hillcrest area of Lake Placid. We are a luxury rental with full amenities and details designed for our Getaway to feel like your home away from home. Fully furnished and outfitted with everything you need to enjoy and create experiences while visiting. Cookies and hot cocoa included along with all linens, towels, soaps, cooking utensils, oil, spices, etc.. We are also a full retreat with customized experiences by John as your Getaway Concierge while staying. John’s advice and service help to make your stay memorable.
We are a fully licensed Short Term Rental Home by the town of North Elba (license number 200406)
PLEASE no parties/loud gathering such as Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, team parties, etc. We are in the heart of Lake Placid where many families live, work and play. We must respect our neighbor's peaceful living.

Our Luxury Adirondack Getaway is meticulously maintained as our 2nd home. We understand things happen and John is good at fixing things cheap or free
Gatherings of more than 8 in the house anytime is not allowed without prior permission from John. No Bachelor/Bachelorette or Team Parties allowed.
We are a mostly fragrance free home. Many people rent from us because of the cleanliness and lack of allergens. Please avoid spraying heavy perfumes.

The host john is very easy going and is very on top of everything which made the stay easy... also the house is amazing . Walking distances to main street and 15 minute car drive to whiteface mountains which made the stay so easy. I highly recommend to anyone going lake placid

We too had a great stay! The house is beautifully decorated, immaculate, uncluttered and comfortable. It is perfectly set up for winter weather and skiing, with an easy garage entry and space for gear downstairs. The kitchen, bedrooms and family room are also all so well thought out and inviting. My sons loved the game room. John was easily reachable by phone and text and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable few days, including activity, dining and general area recommendations.

Amazing, very comfortable home for a weekend stay (or longer) -- we had 6 adults and never felt cramped! Perfect location close to town, and John is the consummate host, from communication at the start all the way through, plus he and his wife have compiled an AMAZING list of Things to do for every season in Lake Placid. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Awesome home in Lake Placid

This house is well located, easy to access downtown. The host is awesome, called me as soon as I booked. He provided lots of details on restaurants, hikes, things to do. Was super helpful during my stay. I would highly recommend this property. Probably one of the best hosts I've ever had for a VRBO rental.

Great Access to Lake Placid

The property was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. It was impeccably clean, well put together and decorated, and came with everything we needed for the week, including cookies!! The host provided helpful tips not only for use of the property, but with great suggestions for what to do and see in Lake Placid and surrounding areas as well as good restaurants! We were very pleased!

We had a great stay in Lake Placid. The house was beautiful and perfectly located just a couple blocks off of main street. We enjoyed our stay. The host, John, was available and very helpful.

Fabulous stay

After too many trips we realized it was time to buy our first Getaway in 2004 to share our home and experiences in Lake Placid with renters looking for a similar Getaway. After over 100 renters and 100 percent 5 star reviews we have found that our guests have just as much excitement for the town as us and enjoy exploring, learning about the area from insiders and appreciate the little things that make for a great trip.

Why they chose this property

Our other property was perfect! This property is amazing and grand. Not too big, just open and relaxing. This home offers so much room for entertaining. The extra garage spaces and large room off the garage is very accommodating for all the gear and service we do on our skis, bikes, etc.

What makes this property unique

Privacy while still in town. We are 5 minutes walking distance to ANYTHING in Lake Placid, but our large lot, trees and no street lights provide supreme peace when sleeping.
