Welcoming retreat with numerous comforts and amenities surrounded by lake, mountain and many outdoor experiences just outside the door.

Comfortable, spacious split level mountain home with stunning views of the Pintler mountains and Georgetown lake from most rooms in the house. Plenty of cushy seating in living room with giant picture windows facing the lake and mountains. Fully equipped kitchen including dual fuel range with double ovens, gas stove, huge refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of dishes for your crowd. Master bedroom with full bathroom and 4 additional bedrooms. Porches on front and back with outdoor barbecue. Outdoor patio space and fire pit, as well as yard. Downstairs recreation area with gas fireplace, sofas, television for movies, and wet bar.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery, and close to local attractions. 15 minutes to Philipsburg, 24 minutes to Anaconda, 12 minutes to Discovery ski area. Fishing in Georgetown lake or nearby Rock Creek and Big Hole River. Golf at Fairmont or Anaconda's Old Works course. Mountain biking trails including downhill runs and lifts at Discovery ski area. Road biking all around.

Internet access with WiFi is capable of streaming movies and video chat. Minimal television or radio reception.

Please do understand that this is a rural area, and this is not a resort. It is very difficult to maintain a home in this area, and there are things that will not be perfect, despite our best efforts. While the vast majority of our guests understand Georgetown, it's benefits and it's limitations, we have had a few who are challenged by circumstances that are ordinary in this area. If you have concerns, please discuss them with us in advance and we will help you to make a choice that is best for you. Thank you

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
We would very much appreciate if you strip or leave the beds unmade if they have been used. It's also a favor if you can leave used towels and such in the laundry room hamper. Thank you!
It's fine to leave foods that you think others might make use of, such as seasonings and the like. We try to keep a good supply of basics on hand, but it's a challenge. Thank you!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Large messes or an especially dirty house will be assessed a special cleaning fee of at least an additional $250. This will also apply to pet damage.
Soiled mattresses will be cleaned or replaced, at our discretion. We will assess damages for heavily soiled mattresses reflecting costs incurred.

We have long family heritage in Georgetown, Anaconda and Butte. Mom grew up snow skiing at Discovery and water skiing on Georgetown lake. It's a great privilege to share with amazing friends and neighbors, and that's what keeps us tied to this place.

What makes this property unique

We hope that you will appreciate that Georgetown is about comfort, family and friends. We are grateful for the natural surroundings, and we strive to maintain a place for people to enjoy the setting, including the wonderful folks in the adjacent communities, particularly Philipsburg, Anaconda and Butte.

Winter in the Montana mountains is bracing and challenges the spirit. You can go cross country skiing right out the door on varied terrain leading up, down and around the lake. Discovery ski area is a local gem, with fantastic powder, many runs ranging from bunny slopes to double black diamond, and great amenities. There are also well-groomed, world class cross country trails about 10 minutes down the road to Discovery ski area.
