PS Sunshine: Mid-Century Charm and Style with Modern Comfort!
Let your hair down and let the #PSSunshine in... for your next desert escape! Located in historic Racquet Club Estates, this newly remodeled Mid-Century gem has the markers of its Alexander-built, Palmer and Krisel-designed origin while offering delightful modern amenities and new finishes. Outside, the horizon is the limit with big sky views of the surrounding mountains from the sparkling new pool and spa and fire pit. Families are bound to enjoy the new 3-hole putting green.
Inside the open floor plan features new Terrazo-tiled floors throughout with your living areas up front and sleeping quarters off to the side. The original kitchen has been re-imagined with an added island counter with breakfast seating up to four, built-in wine refrigerator, new stainless steel appliances, and plenty of cabinetry. The living and dining areas are open and light with casual dining for (up to) six, a large Smart TV, and plenty of comfortable seating. Move that dinner outside for al fresco dining under the new slatted patio cover that runs the length of the home with two dining tables and additional seating. Move from dining to a casual chat by the gas fire pit or ease your way into the sparkling pool, tanning shelf or bubbly spa for a much needed soak.
The sleeping quarters consist of one master suite with king bed, walk-in closet and smart TV with access to the back patio via sliders. Guest room one has a queen size bed and second guest room offers another king bed.
Racquet Club Estates is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. The neighborhood is rich with architecture and history. It should be noted the city has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Reviewer Comments:
The home is exactly as described and has all the comforts of home. The outside living space is great and allowed us all space to relax and unwind.
Enjoyed our time in Palm Springs. Pool and Hot Tub were great and were able to take morning walks in the neighborhood, very close to downtown Palm Springs and would consider coming back in the future.
Comfortable and clean property. Pictures are accurate. Everything in good working order, Excellent communication with property manager. Nice stay. Thank you.
We loved this place! It had everything we needed and made for a perfect home base. The backyard pool is fantastic and the pool was nice and warm. Great snow capped mountain view. Loved it!
We really enjoyed staying at this property. It is clean, well maintained, fully equipped, and the pool and spa were great fun for our family. It is easy to communicate with managers if an issue arises. We hope to return in the future.
We completely enjoyed our stay at this home in Palm Springs. Everything was perfect from the cool decor and well equipped kitchen to the fantastic outdoor space and heated pool/hot tub. The Racquet Club Estates neighborhood is filled with incredible mid-century modern homes that we enjoyed strolling by to admire the unique architecture. The property management company was also very easy to work with along every step of the process. Thanks for a great vacation!
We had a great time at the house, communication was easy and location worked well for us. House is fully equipped, with even some nice games for the kids. The ability to control the heated pool and spa was great, kids spent a lot of time enjoying the water. Was great to have the bbq too, with gas and ready to use. Bedrooms are very comfortable and the house feels very Palm Springs.
The NO MUSIC policy for outdoor areas seemed a bit “aggressive”, to be honest, but it seems to be a City wide policy and, at the end, it didn’t really affect our stay.
Would def stay there again!
The house is in a safe, historic neighborhood of mid-century modern homes. Parking is off-street and spacious. The home was very clean, spacious and well-furnished. The kitchen was very well-equipped, we found everything we needed. The 3 bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The private backyard and heated pool and spa were a real bonus and we used them every day.
We travel to Palm Springs every Fall and this year we tried a new house rental. The Racquet Club Estates was in a perfect location, had great amenities, was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again
Check in and out process was easy and well communicated. The property contact was timely, informative and accessible. The house was in great condition and had the perfect amenities for our stay. We really enjoyed the pool and spa, was worried it was too small for three people but was not an issue. Neighborhood was relatively quiet and it was a short drive to the local supermarket.
10/10 would recommend and would stay here again.
Nicely remodeled house. Fun finishes. Well done. Back yard pool/hot tub was perfect. Beautiful view of the mountains. Very windy the first part of the week then sunny and warm the rest but being north end you’re closer to the wind mills. Very responsive rental company. House is well stocked except toilet paper. 🤣
Beautiful property; property management fell a little short.
The house is clearly newly renovated and is beautiful as the pictures show. It was very well appointed, with everything we needed in the kitchen, some games for the family and plenty of floats for the pool - perfect for our clan. It was very clean and they were thoughtful enough to have hand sanitizer there for guests.
A few pieces of feedback:
- there are only two, hard plastic sun loungers outside. While they look very modern, a couple of more comfortable and adjustable loungers would have been welcome.
- although we kept surfaces clean, we had a bit of an ant issue when we were there. I know ants can't always be helped, but maybe the PM company could take some measures to eliminate or reduce.
- the television remote labeled for the living room had working batteries but did not operate the tv (which was a different make) other than to turn it on and off. We have stayed at dozens of houses and successfully mastered remote controls at all of them, so I don't think it was user error. We tried trouble shooting and tried all other remotes, but nothing operated it.
We told the PM company, who up until check in had been incredibly responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, they just didn't respond. It was the day before Thanksgiving, so I get it, but I would have expected more. (They did however send me two chasing texts 3 days later on departure day asking what time we were leaving, even though checkout was at 10am.) In the end we had to all crowd around a laptop if we wanted to watch something which wasn't great.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably come back to this house again.
