The Mainstay - Beach Chic - Private Pool

This is THE spot to gather, connect, and celebrate. This upscale chic beach home is the ideal retreat for multiple-family getaways, girls` weekends, and Notre Dame football weekends! The spacious & amazing backyard includes a pool, fire pit. The basement bunk and family room is perfect hangout for the kids.

This home is the ultimate beach town escape! We know it will make for unforgettable memories regardless of the season, and we`ve built and stocked the house just for that! The home is a block from scenic Lake Michigan, take the golf cart out and drive around the community. Due to high waters we do not have beach in our community. Three miles away is New Buffalo Beach or 8 miles away to Michigan City Beach.

You`ll have full access to this large home.

This private neighborhood is dreamy and secluded! However, should you choose to be more active; there are trails for exploring, a park nearby, Grand Beach golf club, and plenty to do in the surrounding towns!

You`ll have your own golf cart to zip to the park and around the neighborhood!

We will provide you a guide at the house that captures local recommendations for food and sights and any other pertinent information for your stay.

Great house!

We had a lovely stay here. The yard is bigger than how it seemed in the pictures and the bedrooms were comfortable. Would come back again!

Beautiful pool home

12 family and friend stayed at Mainstay during Labor Day Week. Lovely, clean, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, excellent pool and yard. We loved it. Highly recommend!!

A wonderful home in a great location

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The house had everything our family needed to have an amazing trip. The pool was the highlight for all of the kids while the house had plenty of room for each member of the family to be comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was wonderful. We highly recommend this house.

Beautiful home in a great location!

Fit our large group perfectly and the house was lovely! Great decor and plenty of room to be comfortable for our guests. Hoping to return in warmer months to enjoy the fabulous backyard some more. Lisa was a great host and made the entire process easy and had some excellent suggestions for us during our stay. Would highly recommend to all!

Great getaway

We wanted to get away for a nice weekend getaway for New Years with the family! This was the perfect home. We had 18 of us and it was spacious, clean, and so beautiful inside. Highly recommend! Lisa was also so responsive for any questions! It was my first experience using vrbo and it was great!

Memories to have forever

We loved everything, the kitchen was great for cooking and gathering. The living room was fun to hang out in and share stories. The outside pool was amazing and the walks to see the sunset was incredible. Beautiful neighborhood. We were greeted our first night with the brightest double rainbow, incredible. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. Will definitely share with friends and family

The Best Family Experience!

We are a family of 15 with 7 children ages 5 months to 10 years. We all enjoyed this property very much. Everything was perfect! The kitchen was very well supplied for our large group. The pool was so much fun for us all, and there were plenty of beach towels for everyone. And we loved having the golf cart so that we could tour the lovely neighborhood and go the shoreline to see the sunsets. We would love to go back next year!!

Girls Getaway

Beautiful house with plenty of space for all the ladies. The pool was amazing. We even used the fire pit area at night. There isn’t a beach but the neighborhood is really upscale with gorgeous homes to look at. There is a nice lake access with a gazebo to check out Lake Michigan views. Lisa was a terrific host and responded quickly with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property if hanging at the pool and just chilling is what your after.

Absolutely Great!

My husband and I celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandchildren at this wonderful home! Everything was perfect. The home was decorated with a Pottery Barn vibe. Each family had their own space. We all enjoyed the outdoor pool, firepit, and golf cart rides. The kitchen was well equipped, as were each of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood with great views of the lake. We ALL loved it!

Great house for a large family gathering!

The house and pool were perfect for our family gathering with kids of all ages! The park, tennis courts and playground are a short golf cart ride away! The house was wonderful with all the amenities you could think of but our one area of improvement would be the cleanliness. The house was clean on the surfaces but under the beds and couches were very dirty as well as the basement floor! We loved all the pool toys, games and blocks for the kids! The property manager was very helpful and quick to respond to all messages!

Bachelorette Weekend

Such a wonderful experience! The house is gorgeous and was super clean. It was so spacious for 13 girls. We had a private chef come one night and the kitchen was perfect for this. The check in and check out process was very easy and the house had everything we could have ever needed. Lisa and Michelle were very communicative and even accommodated some of us coming earlier to start decorating the house. The power went out during our stay because there was a bad storm and Michelle was on top of it right away. All of the girls loved the house. We wish we could have stayed longer just so we could have enjoyed more of what the house has to offer!

Grand time in Grand Beach

My family and I had a great time visiting Grand Beach. The house was beautiful and the hosts are very responsive and helpful! When we got there, the pool heater wasn’t working and the coffee pot had a small break. Michelle and Lisa immediately (within one hour) purchased and delivered a new coffee machine and also scheduled someone to come out to the pool to fix the heater. We had an amazing vacation swimming in the heated pool, enjoying s’mores by the fire-pit, whipping around the neighborhood on the golf-cart and enjoying the lovely and spacious home. As an fyi - there is no beach access walkable from the house but you can get there on the golf cart. All in all, a wonderful time!

Lovely home buy overpriced

The home is beautifully decorated, very comfortable furniture and beds. Some needed items were delivered after a few phone calls. Non working golf cart issue was solved after a few days. Pool was great! Owners/managers easily contacted. Aside from all the good things about the home, sorry but it is still overpriced!

Nice house for a get together with friends!

This is a perfect house for a get together with family and friends. This was a great stay for friends doing a long-weekend stay – the bedrooms are very well divided, the wifi signal is strong, the heated pool is nice, and the house is walking distance to the beach. The host is very hospitable and accommodating. Would love to go back again here next year!

Pros and cons

Pros: -great cancellation policy -inside is updated -Lisa property manager is good Cons: -no generator. If power goes out you are SOL but will hear all the other properties humming. -dirty like previous reviewer mentioned. On the surface it was clean but deep down-pretty filthy. We washed all the bathmats, vacuumed under couch, cobwebs, fruit flies etc etc. it wasn’t unlivable but also not for us. -pool is small and basic like previous reviewer mentioned. No tile work. It’s just a plastic insert and small. -they say it can sleep 16 or 19 but we were 2 families of 4 (total of 8) and it was tight -no access to beach. You have a golf cart to drive around areas but there’s nowhere to go. The playground a mile away is old and tennis courts aren’t playable.

Large family vacation

This house was delightful! There were 7 adults and 7 children all together and we found the space very generous. The pool was the main source of daytime entertainment. It was very clean and the water temperature was perfect. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Having the golf cart was fun for little trips around the neighborhood- which is beautiful and quiet. The only suggestions we have would be to add a chest of drawers in each bedroom, more clothes hangers, And a Small waste bin in each bedroom. My husband (who is never without his laptop) said the WiFi was a bit spotty. Overall, we loved the house and we felt Lisa was very responsive. We give it 5 stars.
