SkyRanch Log Cabin with Amazing Views In the Sequoia National Forest!!

Yes, a real Log Cabin with over 2700' sq ft, and 7.5 acres of property. Beautiful views of Lake Isabella, and surrounding mountains, a true getaway any time of year. This peaceful mountain home has been enjoyed by our family, and friend's for years. We now look forward to giving others a chance to experience the serenity, and abundant nature & wildlife the Sequoia National forest has to offer. Perfectly central to all activities, and 10 minutes to lakes edge! The Cabin is perfect for large groups or multiple families, and we have all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay to the fullest, we even have 2 new large refrigerators! This is a very peaceful quiet retreat, and we expect our guests to visit without disturbing the nature of this, if you plan on a loud vacation, this is not the spot for you.
House Rules
Booking requires Valid government ID, Driver license is fine. Please enable notifications on your app for Vrbo, so we can have instant contact. We have a strict policy on additional non registered/booked guest(s). If you arrive with more people than booked, or additional people visit or, stay over night, there will be an additional charge of $150.00 per unauthorized guest for breaking the House Rules, plus the nightly charge Per extra guest (guests are 2 years and up), which will be charged from your security deposit. The base occupancy of the cabin is 8 guests, added guest are $35.00 each per night. Authorized pets are $25.00 each per night, you will need to bring a sleeping area for your pets, and clean up any messes, or you may incur additional charges . Unauthorized pets are $100 each, plus nightly pet charge each. We understand more people may want to come after you book, and we can likely update guests, only if notified before arrival. We want you to enjoy your vacation to the fullest, and will try to accommodate any booking changes needed. NO additional guests/visitors allowed on property at any time. This likely doesn't apply to you, but sometimes guests think they're renting the cabin with unlimited guests, this is not how this cabin is rented. No outside campfires at anytime. Violation is $1000.00 from security deposit. You are expected to clean up after your group before checkout, the cleaning deposit only covers the normal washing of linens, and bedding, and cleaning of the cabin, all dishes must be washed, and cabin left reasonably clean, or additional cleaning fees will be charged. Thank you for your cooperation.
Quite time is Mandatory from 10pm-8am 7 days a week, please be respectful of the peacefulness of the forest, and neighbors. PROPERTY HAS WiFi EXTERIOR CAMERA, AND CARETAKER next door

What an amazing experience! The Cabin is at the top of the mountain and over looks Lake Isabella.. We enjoyed the short drive to Sequoia's 100 Giants Trail. Also a relaxing day atvthe lake and the 3rd day the Kern River. I would recommend this Cabin to anyone!You have to check it out for yourself, picture can only do soo much justice! See you soon SkyRanch ;)

Beautiful property and view of Lake Isabella!

Beautiful lodge- style accommodations with a very large common space both inside and out. Landlord was great at communicating. Over the weekend, we identified more than 25 different birds on and around the patio! It is about a 10 minute drive up the mountain from the main road, so fantastic vista for sunrise as well as moonrise.

Birthday Celebration Weekend

It was such a lovely location, great beds and linens, lots of nice towels provided, plenty of space. Jonpaul could not have been nicer, even refunding when one of the family could not attend. My husband booked this beauty for my 60th bday. To get our 3 grown boys and their spouse with our granddaughter was so joyous for my heart. The property has everything you need. Open floorplan and large kitchen make it a dream for a big group. We watched the beautiful moon and stars at night on the huge covered patio ga ing at the moon glint of the lake. Mother Daughter Rafting Trip

Look no further for the perfect home to rent. We had 5 moms and 5 teenage girls. The girls all stayed in one room and giggled all night long! Perfect location for a rafting trip down the river, a day on the lake, and hiking in the sequoias. This house has everything you’ll need with a beautiful view. A perfect spot to catch a sunrise in the morning and the milky way at night. I have rent over 25 homes on VRBO and this ranks #1. We had such a great time, we’re thinking of making in an yearly trip.

Extraordinary

I had been searching for a very long time for a home that would fit a minimum of 30 people at a affordable price with as many beds as possible for My young adults group in church. Jp went above and beyond in accommodating my every need. From the first inquiry I sent him, he answered every single one of my questions in seconds. And he made sure i had everything I needed, I didn’t have to bring my own toilet paper and soap which was honestly a surprise after many past experiences. And even though I brought paper plates and cups, there was no need for it as Jp also made sure we had sufficient cups, plates and utensils for my entire group! My group ranged from 18-45 years old, and we all fit perfectly. Even though we didn’t have a lot of privacy inside, the property in itself was so big we were all very comfortable and cozy at all times. I would definitely come back again, every little detail promised was taken care of and despite us having a little accident, Jp was understanding and professional. So grateful for this experience!

Awesome place with awesome views!

The host was super helpful and responsive. They even baked us some brownies(at least I hope they were for us hehe). The whole place was cool and cozy. They had fans in almost every room and the gaming room was nice. I would definitely recommend staying here. Our whole family consisted of 20 people and we all fit comfortably.

Memorial Day getaway

This property is beautiful! The views are breathtaking and the house is comfortable and fully equipped. My 4 and 1 year old also loved the toys and games, especially the ping pong table. The drive up sawmill is steep, windy, and narrow but the views are totally worth it. And the host, Jon Paul, is very communicative and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic weekend at Lake Isabella

I saw pictures of this place saying it could house 25 guests and The pictures didn’t do the place justice. It was very exciting driving up the hill from the lake to the cabin. I knew once we got there we were in for a treat as the mountain road goes up pretty high above the lake level. The view once we got there was absolutely amazing on this just under 2 acre property. Plenty of room for cars and or boats and trailers. We ended up with 16 in our group and everyone had an amazing time & immediately wanted to come back next year. I’ve hosted our group outing for 16 years now & this was by far the best place we’ve stayed. The attention to detail upon our arrival was an extremely nice touch not to spoil the surprise. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

The Ranch house was nice and big for our group of 9! Had all the amenities we needed. Beautiful views of Lake Isabella. Was nice sitting on the porch in the evening.

Amazing Cabin

Awesome place to spend some good old quality time with the family. The VIEW! Is as those that have taken pictures of the place breath taking! The only thing I would say is if you’re car isn’t in 100% to drive up steep hills I highly suggest rent one, highly recommend this cabin

This place is a gold mine

Classic example of "pictures don't do justice". The view is absolutely breathtaking. The log cabin is well built, and comfy- the type of place you want to lounge around all day and cook, play music, drink wine and just chill the hell out. Kernville has a few decent restaurants and a nice park for the kids but we ended up not too interested in exploring because hanging at the house is the main draw. JP is the best. Highly recommended if you are looking to detach yourself from your smartphone and relax.

Peaceful mountain escape

The property was as described and had all the accommodations we could need. Countless DVDs, games and fully stocked kitchen with condiments. The property manager is very responsive and friendly. Would recommend to friends and family and will add this to our list of favorite vacation spots. Thank you again.

I am a very easy going person, and love the outdoors, and the absolute peacefulness of the Sequoia National Forest. I come here every chance I get, and always have a wonderful experience, I know you will too.

Why they chose this property

We Love being located in the Sequoia National forest, a true solid Log Cabin large enough to accommodate large groups, and multiple families, in a peaceful, serene location, right off Sawmill Rd. Sawmill is a historic logging road that extends one mile from the highway to our spot The road can be narrow, and steep at times, but it's a short drive. Nestled at 3600' elevation, and with a beautiful panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Nature abounds all around us, and the night sky feels like you can touch the stars. This is the ultimate getaway, but perfectly central to all actives, and only a few minutes from the lakes edge.

What makes this property unique

We have hiking, and mountain bike trails all around us. Some trails are accessed right from the property. Jeeps, off-road, and dirt bikes love it up here. You can also pull your vehicle right up to the lakes edge for a day of recreation and picnics.
