Many of our guests prefer not to use the air conditioning as we are typically Blessed with tropical trade winds, which is Hawaii's natural cooling system. Our units have nice cross ventilation which is controlled by opening the kitchen window and lanai sliding doors to let the trades circulate the air. During this time however, for added comfort, we will have circulating fans in the units to assist in added cooling. You may choose to lower the blinds to help keep the suns heat out once it comes around to the front of the building until sunset.

The Mahana has one of the nicest locations on Maui. Every unit is ocean front, about 50 feet from the waters edge with gorgeous views and waves rolling in almost underfoot. There is currently a Monk Seal that has been sunbathing directly in front of our building. Monk Seals are endangered so it is quite a treat for guests and the local population to view them in person. In addition, you might see a couple of turtles, mama and baby, that seem to nest or call The Mahana their home. Sunsets on the lanai are amazing, changing every day for great picture taking and an end to your day in paradise.

The Complete Maui Experience! The Mahana Resort - If you are familiar with West Maui, you will already know The Mahana is truly a premier property with spectacular oceanfront views. Just steps to the sandy Kaanapali beach, you will be led on a two and one half mile stretch of incredible ocean beauty. This AAA Three Diamond resort consists of twin towers containing 215 units on five acres. Designed with a sense of peace and privacy, you are close to championship golf courses, great restaurants and shopping.

Newly renovated, our unit 114 at The Mahana is a ground floor one bedroom one bath unit. It has a king-size bed with with a new mattress and the living room has a queen sofa bed with a new 8 inch mattress! The unit serves four guests very comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped including refrigerator with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, blender and all kitchen utensils. Also included for your convenience is salt and pepper, spice rack, plastic wrap, foil, baggies, napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, starter size shampoo/conditioner and hair blow dryer. All linens are provided including extra bedding and towels. Also available for your use are beach towels, a cooler and 2 Tommy Bahama beach chairs.

The unit has two flat screen televisions with remotes, one in the living room with a DVD player and one in the bedroom. A stereo is provided in the living room with CD player and a docking station. Central air conditioning, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board and extra hangers all make your stay more relaxing. The tiled lanai is spacious with patio table and four chairs. The unit is approximately 932 square feet and the interior is decorated in Hawaiian motif.
