The property is in an great location if you are attending an event at NC State or the Raleigh Coliseum. It's on the second floor (which I might have missed in the description). However we heard little of the neighbors. The apartment could use a paint freshen but was clean. Beds are really comfortable as was the living furniture. Kitchen could use a few more amenities - as in a spatula, pitcher, mixing bowl - for those who prefer to rustle up a quick meal rather than eat out.

The area was good with well lit lot and stairwells. The cleanliness was not great. There were dust spiders on cobwebs in the corners. Behind the beds hasnt been cleaned in a minute. Theres a good water stain in the master bedroom, hope its not new.The bathroom needs a tune up and the caulking is coming loose in the shower and the cabinet is pretty rundown. A lot of little things in the walls and stuff that could be better and you could see the cleaning on the walls stops about 2 feet short from ceiling. The chairs on the balcony are rough. Just needs a good bit of TLC and some more attention when cleaning. We've stayed in a lot of places and these are easily fixed. The owner is really good guy who is great at communication. I wouldn't not stay here, i just think it could be 5 star across the board pretty easily. Also think there may be a critter living in the attic of the building you can hear at night.
I am a frequent traveler.
I booked this place to stay after traveling 10 hours for my sisters graduation.
It was not in the best neighborhood and it was very run down.
Mold in the bathroom, especially around the bath tub and there were roaches crawling on the cabinets and walls. I left after the first night. I have food and a 5 month baby and was not about to stay in a place like that that had bugs! The owner messaged me to check and see how things were and I told him I left after the first day and why. He refused to refund me for a day and acted like it was not that big of an issue. VERY UNPLEASE AND WILL NEVER RETURN.

Great Raleigh location, but in need of some care
Great things about this listing:
- Check in process and communication with the host was great. He even checked in after our first night to make sure everything was ok, and we alerted him to some of the issues we were experiencing but told him there was no need to come to the property.
- The location was super convenient.
- The space was very nicely laid out for a weekend trip with friends.
Cons:
- The smell of old cigarette smoke was unmistakable.
- A deep clean of the whole place, including the furniture, would go a long way to spruce up the place, as well as some maintenance on the bathroom fixtures.
- There was a lot of cockroaches throughout the entire place. We alerted the host of the bugs and he offered to come check on the property but we declined. The downstairs neighbors were moving out, likely increasing the activity of the bugs but there were more than we felt comfortable with. We threw the trash out every time we left the building as recommended by the host to hopefully reduce their numbers.

Hello Megan, we do apologize for this. It is a recent issue that we have been have been dealing with and working together with the neighbors downstairs, that we hope to have under control as soon as they vacate.
Condo was exactly as ad described. All our needs were met for 2 day stay. Quiet neighborhood and we felt safe. Communication with Tom was fast & easy. We had no major issues during our stay.
The house smells like cigarettes and it is not in the best location. People blasting music in the apartment below this one throughout the night even on week days. The owner also said he would accommodate us by letting us checkout late on our last day, but then when the day came he said he wanted an extra $40 for us to stay or we had to leave, making us find somewhere to go with all of our luggage hours before our fight. Highly do not recommend staying here.
We really like the place and working with the owner was nice. Location was only minutes from campus. We would stay again

No idea why this a listing
The pictures are not accurate. I felt like this was a property that should not be a VRBO. VERY shabby. One night there was a car-repo at 1am. I do think the host was nice but it was nothing like I thought it would be.
Lovely place, I will rent again! Everything I needed was present. Grocery store close by too. I have just a few things to add about this unit. The couch sits very low and may be difficult to get up from. There was one small roach but it seemed like he had encountered some pesticide cuz he did not move swiftly. No big for me cuz I only saw one. But some folk may freak out. Biggest part as a woman traveling alone, I Felt safe. Shower was nice however hard to get it to work correctly.
Tom was great. Easy to find, easy to access. Nicely staged. Can get to anywhere in Raleigh from this location. Property could use some maintenance. Couple of ceilings are pealing, towel bar is broken off, a few other items just need some love. It is cozy and convenient.
Bonito lugar, excelente ubicación si corrigieran los siguientes detalles sería perfecto: cama del cuarto principal
Incomoda, puerta necesita reparación, equitación de cocina incompleto , la zona común para lavar la ropa en estado deplorable
I rated this 5 stars for the value. For the cost of a budget motel, you get an entire 2 bedroom condo! I would actually lower my rating of the price ever increases. But the issues to make aren't complaints and seem 'nit picky' for the cost. If you're looking at this price-point, you'd be very satisfied with this property.

Not a 5 Star Stay
The property was adequate for our needs but was definitely not a 5 Star experience. The host was great and communicated well and the place was clean, but the location was not that great and the features of the unit were either out of date or very low end.
Our host was very attentive and friendly! There were a couple little issues with the bathroom (broken towel bar, tub faucet/drain) but when they're fixed this rental will be awesome. Thanks for your hospitality!
We stayed Easter weekend so we could visit friends in the area. Tom was super friendly and easy to work with. The property was just as described and perfect for our stay.
