Nice clean modernized cabin on the rocky shore of Lake Erie. Panoramic view of the lake and sunrise from indoors or out. No swimming or wading (rocky sea wall), but public beaches are nearby.
Third year visiting with my elderly mom. We love it here. We saw several bloodmoon rises, a rainbow, 5 bald eagles, a partial lunar eclllipse and a blimp. We ordered groceries for our nine day stay from a nearby department/grocery store and settled in for listening to the lake and some mean games of Yahtzee. The cottage is clean and comfie and the kitchen is well equipped. We’ll be back n year.
We liked watching the sunrise at the rocky but semi private beach. The layout of the house is unusual but it was an extremely great value for a short stay visiting the islands. The staff has done a great job taking care of the property.
We enjoyed staying at the twin cottages. It was clean, comfortable and in a private setting which made relaxing even better! We loved the sunrises and the eagle flying over the lake. It was beautiful!
Right on Lake Erie at the end of a dead end road. Very quiet and peaceful. The property looked a bit rustic when I pulled up. However, the inside has been upgraded and remodeled. Great for a couple or family with up to two small children. One bedroom with a queen bed and a couch that folds out into a bed. All appliances in working order. The kitchen is stocked with plates, glasses and a variety of cooking pots, pans and utensils.
I was impressed with our cottage! It was very clean! The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook during your stay...everything provided! The view from the sitting room was so nice. We opened the windows and could hear the waves crashing along the rocks, which was especially nice at night :-)
Note- the couch is also updated from when the pictures were taken!
We loved the convenient location to Orchard Bar & Table, Twist Oast Brewery, and Miller's Ferry.
The only thing I would change is the shower head...the shower is small and could use a more flexible shower head to allow you to be out of the water as needed for washing hair, shaving, etc.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again in the future. Thank you!!!
Quiet spot next to the lake and close to two different restaurants. Great view !

Liked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Beautiful scenery but issues
View of the lake is the absolute best and can see it from the living room couch. Kitchen was well equipped with crockpot and Kuerig coffee maker. Extremely small bedroom with queen bed that was decently comfortable. Very close to Twin Oast, The Orchard and Gideon Owen’s. We enjoyed our time at each of those places very much. Honestly the check in and checkout process is less than ideal. Communication about the process is less than ideal. Just know you have to drive 15 mins away from the cottage to an Inn to pick up your keys and instructions from a lockbox that isn’t the easiest to operate. At the end of your stay you have to drive back to the Inn to drop them off. This property is listed by a third party company that is closed on the weekends so trying to get answers was difficult. We ran into an emergency and I was on the phone with VRBO for a very long time after leaving multiple voicemails on the company line. The place is cute and at the back of a nice trailer park. The neighbor at the cottage next to it is outside a lot but seemed friendly. I believe he lives there. Also, since the property backs up to the lake expect random people to walk by at any time and there are no curtains on the back window. There is only a small A/C unit in the bedroom window and when we arrived on a 90 degree day it took a while to cool the place off. Luckily we brought a fan from home because we can’t sleep without it.
This cottage is very clean esp kitchen& very new fresh towels.. View of the lake is terrific
The living area and kitchen are as pictured however I would not have picked this place. Had I known the bedroom was so incredibly small no place for luggage only one side of the bed had access to get in.The Bedroom should be included in the pictures
Great communication about location, check-in and check-out. Cute little lakefront cottage, very clean inside (could use a little cleaning on the outside). Small bedroom, bed wasnt that comfortable for us but orhers
My husband and I stayed there for 5 days.
We expected a no frills cabin and that is what this is. Beautiful view, bed and couch were comfy.
The check in process is clunky. I would recommend improving that part. But all else was great. Thanks for the memories!
Perfect place to just relax enjoy the lake, loved the location, out of the way of all the busy the lake can be but so close to anything you want to explore from put in bay to Kelly island to Port Clinton. Short drive to the major stores ( Kroger Walmart and up scale grocery. Within 5 minutes to millers ferry.
My elderly mother and I spent 9 days in cottage B. The cottage is very clean and the kitchen well equipped. My mom and I stayed in and cooked, hit a few farm stands. Just relaxed and bonded. There is a new couch, much higher and more comfortable than the last one. We had a minor issue with the toilet seat that was fixed within a couple of hours, so the response time was outstanding. We spent a few days trying to figure out what some large circling birds were, and figured out that there was a pair of immature bald eagles hunting right around the cottage. I cannot wait for next year.
Beautiful Lakeview! The cabin is not loaded with extras, but it has everything you would need for one or two people to stay for a low-key getaway.
Walk out the back sunroom and you're 15 steps away from a semi-private rocky beachfront (we stayed for 5 days and didn't see another person down there the whole time).
If you have any problems with key pickup, the people at the Our Guest Inn where you go, could not be sweeter or more helpful.
This concert was unfortunately cancelled the day of the show so we weren’t able to stay at the property. I did want to say that the owner was very responsive and professional to work with through this issue. If I get to the area again, I’ll certainly book this property.
