Lovely, cozy stay

The hosts were excellent at communicating from the beginning through the end. They checked in when we arrived and during to see if we needed anything. This upstairs cottage was clean, well-stocked and nicely decorated with all the light, beach styles that remind us of what we love about Lakeside. Even being here in the winter, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Being off the main road we expected more road noise, but we didn't notice it at all. We had a lovely, cozy stay!

Cute & Cozy

This little apartment is very cute, decorated in a beach theme. It is clean and well stocked with amenities. The stairs were a little much for our elderly mother (mentioned only to warn anyone who may overlook this detail as we did). The yard is well maintained, and there is a beautiful deck with seating to enjoy some time outside. Overall, a nice stay.

We are three siblings fourth generation Lakesiders. For years, we have gathered every summer, along with our fifth generations at Lakeside, from our homes around the country. We bought this home in April 2022 and named it the Lakeside Bird's Nest in honor of our mother who we lost in 2021. Her family nickname was The Bird and we will always nest here, close to our parents who are in the Memorial Garden at Chautauqua Park in Lakeside.
