The Lake House ~On~ Sunset Path w/private beach access, pool, hot tub & WIFI

ATTENTION, ATTENTION RATES DETAIL: the instant quote feature on the set up of VRBO's website can be misleading at first glance. A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the property at any given time.

Off-season (Mid September-Late May) requires a minimum 2 night stay. Off-season '25/'26 rates are: $240/night for 2 people, plus $60 per each additional person whether they are day guests only or over night. Please be accurate with your group numbers in requesting a reservation as the owner will need to edit your quote to reflect the total head count prior to confirming.

Prime season (Late May-Mid September) requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Weeks are Sunday to Sunday. The 2025 prime season weekly rate is: $3290, for up to 8 people. (The 2026 prime season weekly rate is $3395 for up to 8 people.)

Rates do not include 6% MI occupancy tax or a refundable security deposit (see VRBO at check out). Additional fee for dogs (maximum of 2) is $28 per dog, per day or $175 per dog, per week; inquire with owner on pet details and rules.

SPECIAL NOTE: A general liability waiver is required to be signed, prior to arrival. See waiver under "my attachments". Owner will also email one to you.

PROPERTY DETAIL: Welcome to the Lake House for every season! Nestled between poplar covered sand dunes, this contemporary 3 bedroom (sleeps up to 8) ranch style home offers a partial view of Lake Michigan and a striking panoramic view of North Grand Mere Lake. The home includes a short walk to a private sandy beach access on Lake Michigan and a (seasonal) wading stream. Among many amenities, WIFI is available, Roku TVs (remember to bring your log in accts to enjoy your favorite apps), gas fireplace, a private in ground swimming pool (closes Mid-September for the winter/opens in early May), 4-5-person hot tub (open year round), outdoor fire pit and large wrap-around deck. Come to enjoy serene views, beautiful snow falls, wildlife, endless sunsets, relaxing walks and a private sandy beach. If you like action, you're only 10 to 20 minutes away from the popular destination towns of St. Joseph and New Buffalo. We're located at exit 22, off of I-94. Stay at the Lake House for a week in the prime season or a minimum two-night getaway during the off-season and enjoy it all! The home was clean and welcoming. Access to a private beach cove made our trip truly special. The hot tub and fire pit made for cozy, cool evenings. The Lake House was a perfect spot for two couples to relax and recharge. It was only a quick jaunt to some excellent restaurants and wineries. Shelly was an amazing hostess.

Great Girls Weekend

Beautiful home and spotlessly clean! We had a great time on our girls weekend, enjoying the quiet atmosphere, the spacious deck and the hot tub. Although it was too cold for the beach, we loved the view, the birds we heard and the wildlife we saw. Looking forward to coming again!

Lake House

This house was amazing. Stayed there for our anniversary! Has everything you need to stay. Nice view of the duck lake behind house and then a fantastic view of Lake Michigan a short walk down to the beach. Love the hot tub and the pool but was to cold to go in pool. Shelly and Marc are excellent hosts. I would go back!

Perfect spot!

Stayed here multiple times and hope to keep it as a tradition! The house is very clean with everything we need! Love that it’s so close to the lake with spectacular views of Grand Mere as well! The hostess is very attentive if you should need anything!

This was a great end-of-summer stay. With the pool and the beautiful views of the lake, it's like icing on the cake that you have Lake Michigan private access. The owners were lovely people, and the house was very clean. We couldn't have enjoyed it more!

Beautiful Lake House

Beautiful well maintained lake house, clean, organized and a perfect location for a getaway! Lakeview home with inground pool, hot tub and fire pit in backyard! Lake Michigan private beach access is just 1 minute down the street! Enjoyed beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan! Very relaxing and quiet neighborhood. Shelly was very sweet and helpful with all the questions we had. She was a great host and very responsive and we really enjoyed staying at her picture perfect lakeshouse!

Cute, RomCom Getaway

Ever watch holiday RomComs and want to live that out? This is the perfect, cute place for that. Hot tub was clean and well kept. Beach was walking distance and downtown was a short drive away. Neighborhood is quiet and the hosts were very communicative and responsive. Even in winter, the Lake House is a perfect getaway for a couple or family.

Perfect get away

We really enjoyed our extended weekend stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the views were amazing. We enjoyed a cold, but beautiful sunset on the beach and the solitude. The hot tub under the stars was a perfect ending to the day.

Excellent stay at Lake Cottage

Excellent host and home. Pool was absolutely an essential feature during week long excessive heat wave. Hosts serviced pool all week as needed. Home located in private wooded area but conveniently located close to Stevensville (5 to 10 minutes) and St Joseph (15 minute drive) activities. Location offers private beach access to Lake Michigan. Relaxing and enjoyable week.
