Clos Normand, pretty house in an exceptional garden
BEDS MADE AND TOWELS PROVIDED
In an old farm with an apple orchard, the Clos Normand is a family property comprising 4 lovely houses immersed in an exceptional green setting. Each house has its allocated garden space and also benefits from the entire park.
The house, a former shed entirely renovated, features a vast modern and friendly kitchen, warm bedrooms on the first floor adorned with original beams and a brick fireplace (non-functional). Its two bathrooms with toilets provide appreciable comfort (one on each floor).
The house is brimming with charm with its view over a magnificent English-style garden and its well-stocked shelves of books recounting the rich artistic past of Varengeville s/mer, with its painters (Monet, Renoir, Pissaro, Jacques-Emile Blanche, Braque, Mirò), its authors (Proust, Gide, Cocteau, and Virginia Woolf) and its musicians (Debussy, Ravel, Eric Satie, and Albert Roussel).
Access to the half-hectare orchard, admirably maintained, leads to swings running alongside a row of beech trees.
Very peaceful, the location is particularly well situated in Varengeville s/mer, between the heart of its village with distinguished traders in the region (butcher, bakery, mini-market, pharmacy, newsagent/tobacco, hairdresser, doctor, restaurant and tea-room), and the sea with memorable cliffs accessible on foot.
