Gite Barbey - A 500m de la Mer

The Gîte Barbey will be the perfect pied-à-terre for you to recharge your batteries and discover Normandy and its heritage!

Just a few meters from Utah Beach, this charming little house has all the necessary comfort for a pleasant stay: rural environment, quiet, close to the tourist places, linen provided, wifi, you just have to put down your suitcases!

We will be delighted to welcome you! Contact us for more information!

Accommodation
The small house is attached to the owners' house. With a surface area of 30 m², it is composed as follows:

- Entrance on the ground floor via the living room with a sofa and a high table for dining, a functional kitchen equipped with hotplates, microwave, coffee machine and kettle, fridge, washing machine, etc.
- The shower room with toilet is also on the ground floor.
- Access to the mezzanine via a staircase where you will find a sleeping area with 2 single beds.

The (enclosed) garden (1000 m²) is accessible and can be shared with the owners.

Free parking on site. Baby accessories (cot and high chair) available on request. Pets are accepted.

Neighbourhood
The house is located between Countryside and Sea, between Sainte-Mère l'Eglise and Pointe du Hoc, a few meters from Utah Beach and its Museum.

In the middle of nature, surrounded by cows and horses, you will be in a quiet place!

Many local shops: La Madeleine grocery shop, the Bakeries 4 km away, the Seafood Zone 1 km away, Super U and gas station in Sainte-Mère Eglise 12 km away.

- Utah Beach Museum, the D-Day landing beaches
- The Beaugliot reserve, Sainte-Mère Eglise, etc....
- Visiting historical sites in the Cotentin, hiking, horse riding, golf, sailing, boat trips, walking (hiking trail GR223), swimming, fishing, cycling on the greenways, etc. There is a choice!

Pretty little house

Very small house, really suitable for young active people. The open staircase is rather scary which leads to the twin bedded bedroom which is comfortable. On the ground floor is a small kitchen with a sofa in it, there is no other sitting room.. The shower & lavatory are downstairs through the kitchen * are very good. There is a nice large garden with a small table & chairs for eating outside & dogs are welcome. The place has been newly renovated & is very clean.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à St Marie du Mont.Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil chaleureux et leur gentillesse. Le gîte est bien agencé et la literie est confortable. Il est aussi bien situé pour profiter des plages et visiter les musées du débarquement.

Gîte Barbey "Sehr schöner Aufenhalt, hundefreundlich, perfekte Lage und super nette Gastgeber 🙂 Die kleine Wohnung ist von der Lage her perfekt, um die Normandie und alles rund um die D-Day Stätten zu erkunden. Auch der kilometerweite Strand ist ganz in der Nähe. Die Unterkunft war die richtige Wahl. Wir sind mit zwei Hunden gereist und beide waren ebenso herzlich Willkommen. Alles war unkompliziert und die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt."

Gîte Barbey "🙂 Les hôtes sont adorables et nous ont très bien accueillis. Ils ont été très gentils avec notre chienne et sont ouverts pour discuter, c'est bien agréable. Et la plage est accessible à pieds depuis le logement en 10/15 minutes, c'est pratique pour faire des marches. 🙁 - La chambre est accessible avec des escaliers trop dangereux pour un animal seul, il faudra penser à lui interdire d'empreinter les marches seul et à le porter pour monter/descendre. - Les chiennes des hôtes sont enfermées dans un enclos et ce n'est vraiment pas terrible. De plus, elles aboient sans arrêt dès qu'on met les pieds à l'extérieur. - Le logement est vraiment petit, il a l'air plus spacieux dans les photos. - Le canapé n'est pas confortable. - Peu/pas d'espace dans le plan de travail de la cuisine, pas agréable de cuisiner pendant ses vacances."
