Wot no towels!!!!! Who in this day and age doesn’t provide towels - not even tea towels. Lesser issue -no soap, shampoo - nothing. Bonkers. Check-in not until 4.30 which was not clear at the initial booking and disappointing. Bought wood and kindling both of which looked like shrubs cleared off the property rather than real logs and split kindling. Not expensive but really poor quality, kindling slow to light, and “logs” once alight gone in a trice with minimal heat. This on cold damp days in November. Internet weak and on and off - very difficult if you need it. However the property was neat as a pin, comfortable, fully functional, and for us perfectly located for the falls of St Nectan.
The property is in a very pretty valley with mill stream running alongside. The grounds are beautifully kept. The fittings/furnishings of the house are fine but a little dated in places. The property is walkable to the SW coast path and Bossiney Haven which meant it was a great location.
