Situated with easy access to SR 28, our home is just half a mile from Waterman's Landing, a public beach with a full-service café and "car-top" boat launch. Explore nearby Carnelian Bay, featuring a 7-Eleven, laundromat, post office, and popular restaurants like Gar Woods, CB's Bistro, and The Old Post Office.

We're conveniently located on the main Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) bus route along North Lake Blvd (SR 28), served by two free lines: Mainline and Route 89, connecting you to Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Incline Village, and more. During peak summer and winter seasons, the free 'TART Connect' shuttle is available to take you around town and to many local establishments—just download the app and request a ride.

-Early check-in/late check-out: May be available at $35/hour, but MUST be arranged in advance
-Hot tub policy: In the unlikely event of a hot tub malfunction, guests will be reimbursed $50/night if unusable

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
If convenient, please wash & dry any used beach/hot tub/ bath towels before your departure. Please limit load to 5-7 towels max in the washing machine to ensure it spins and drains properly.
Please take out trash and recycling to the bear box. Leave any excess trash bagged up inside the front door.
Make sure all downstairs windows and doors are fully closed & locked and the front door key is back in the lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Strictly NO Direct Lake Access via Neighbors Properties.
Strictly NO Pets/ NO smoking.
Do not ever leave food or trash outside, even for 5 minutes.

Wonderful holidays at Carnelian Bay

We really enjoyed our time at this cozy and clean house! There was enough room for 8 people to sleep and spend time together watching a good movie or playing table games. It was great to sit in the hot tub when it was snowing outside. The house is very nice inside and outside. We also liked the spacious parking. We would recommend this house to our friends.

We decided late to spend the 4th in Tahoe as we had some logistics to work around and Sinead & Ryan couldn’t have been more accommodating. They put a lot of care into the property. They brought over bikes and a canoe for us to use though we were only there a few days. We enjoyed the hot tub and the large upstairs deck for stargazing. The house is on the main road which can get busy. We appreciated the quick drive to Tahoe City and Kings Beach.

A Magical, Nostalgic, and Perfect Stay

Our girls weekend could not have been more perfect. Sinead and Ryan's cabin is everything that you could want and more. The cabin layout is set up perfectly, with two bedrooms on the bottom floor and two on the second floor, complete with two living room/sitting areas and multiple decks. Our group of seven had more than enough space. The beds were comfortable, and everyone appreciated the abundance of fans, towels, and amenities the cabin had. The kitchen was STOCKED with every appliance and utensil that you could need, the kitchen knives were sharp, the fridge is huge, and the various notes around the cabin were so so helpful. Also worth noting is the wifi, which was fast and easily accommodated all of our cell phones and devices. It is obvious that many memories have been made in the cabin, decorated with fun memorabilia, lights, and personalized touches that encompass the spirit of Tahoe and make you feel like you're vacationing in a friend's family's cabin. The disco ball, surround sound, and fun lights added to the charm of the cabin and were SO MUCH FUN and added an incredible ambiance to our stay. We loved the location, which is within walking distance to Garwoods, the local beach, and super easy to access. The hot tub and outdoor seating area is set up perfectly...the "lawn" was a great place to hang out on, and there is ample outdoor seating. None of us were ready to leave and we could have easily spent multiple more days. I will be bookmarking this for future trips and cannot wait to go back. Thank you Sinead and Ryan for opening up this special place for others to enjoy. It's truly a special and magical place.

Great family rental

Had a blast staying at this cozy property. Like in other reviews, any kitchen gadgets you need (we cooked all meals, didn’t eat out once!). Only con is the busy street nearby, which obviously can’t be helped but is a little noisy. Definitely hope to stay there again!

Lots of fun, well equiped

We spent a great week at this well-appointed house, everything clean and well supplied. Beautiful and fun beaches near by. We really enjoyed North shoe (first time) after years of going to the south shore. We got used to the fact that this house sit right on but set back from the coastal road. great time was had by all.

Great Spot!

Location for a family vacation in Lake Tahoe was perfect. The house was far enough from Kings Beach to dodge heavy traffic and was walking distance away from an awesome dog friendly beach and coffee shop. Had plenty of room for our family of five and house was packed full of appliances, spices, and everything we needed to cook in most nights. Hot tub and turf outdoor area were a nice plus as well. Did notice the road noise but expect that’s a challenge with any place near the lake. Would highly recommend

Great Property / Great Location

This property feels like a home...not just a rental. Sinead & Ryan clearly take pride in the home and keep it in great condition. The home was very clean, kitchen was well stocked, deck & patio area was very nice....and yes, the disco ball was used! Location is great....away from the congestion of Tahoe City and Kings Beach but very easy to get there for shopping and restaurants. Yes, the home is near the road but really not an issue. would definitely stay here again!

Great Family Home!

We (family of 8 - 4 adults and 4 children) spent 4 days/4 nights at this property and loved it! The house was stocked well with everything we needed. The check-in process was quick and easy. The owners (Sinead and Ryan) were super responsive on any questions, and provided us with lots of information on what to do around the area. I rated everything 5 stars except for location, only because the house is on a busy road so there is quite a bit of traffic noise. We had younger kids with us (2,5,7,8) so we couldn't leave them out by themselves. but I think it would be fine with older kids. Nice touch with the hot tub and grill. Also, lot's of outdoor space - 2 decks and another grass area on the side. I highly recommend this property to families of up to 8 people. We would definitely stay here again!

We took our family of nine to the Tahoe area for vacation and were very pleased with this home. It was very clean and with plenty of room/beds for our clan. The sound system was great! We really enjoyed the outdoor space on these gorgeous summer nights. The road in front of the home is busy. It may not be ideal for those with young children but adults and older children will be pleased with this property. We had a great family experience and would certainly consider staying here in the future.

The house is very well equipped for cooking and dining, and it even has a good sound system and fun party lights. It is close driving distance to lakeside tourist amenities. Only downside is traffic noise from the very busy Lake Boulevard.

The perfect cabin

My family and I stayed for the weekend and loved the home! It was in a great location; 10 minute walk to the lake and nearby stores. The rooms were cozy. We spent most of the time in the living room and dining area which were very comfortable. Sinead was a great and caring host that tried her best to accommodate us. Also, the parking was perfect! The owners are very responsive. My family was very pleased with this property. The location is on the busy road so earplugs/sound machines are a must. Also, no direct beach access to the lake. For the price, this is a great property.

Perfection!

I had been shopping for rentals for our group for weeks, but our requirements of sleeps 10 + hot tub + close to Homewood was providing some lackluster results. When I stumbled upon this house, I was stoked. They had me at disco ball!! and all the other hip decor and cozy-looking beds. They literally have every kitchen accommodation you would ever need. My friend was like "I hope someone brings a can so I can use this can crusher." haha! The pictures and momentos around the house show that Sinead and Ryan enjoy life and love music which totally resonated with our group and added to our vibe. The decks are so nice. We had a yoga and hula hoop session on the top deck, thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and made some delicious meals. Location was awesome!! Safeway is 5 minute drive; Homewood is a 20 minute drive; and walk to the "beach" is 10 minutes. After reading the house rules and a review about their strict check-out time, I was a little nervous about my deposit, but we just followed the easy and reasonable instructions they left in the house, and there were no issues at all. Easy peasy. I have stayed in a lot of houses in Tahoe and this was the best, hands down.

We had a great time here in a wonderful house with phenomenal support in the middle of a huge storm from the owners. Close to several resorts as well as attractions for non-skiers. We would absolutely stay here again.
