Cabin is exactly as shown. Host very responsive to all questions.Wildlife outstanding. Great location if city life is not your priority but access to Tallahassee is important.Fabulous stay!
The house was perfect for our graduation weekend. A great place to get away from town and relax, without being too far from Tallahassee. Wish we had more time ...and a boat!

Thanks Clark. Contact me if you want to book another stay
The location and the views from the back of the house were great. And we loved the dock. The house was clean and as described, and the couch and chairs were very comfortable. We will stay again here next year when we visit the area!
Check in was easy. House was clean and was just right for us. The dock was really close to the house and the boat ramp was close to house also. Had a great time with our family.

Thanks Barbara. So glad to host you and your family.
House was good, back porch was great! Parking with a truck pulling a boat/trailer was not the best.

Hi Alan . Thanks for your review. I’m not sure what you mean about parking a boat trailer . We have two boats that we bring and we park in the long driveway just fine with both. Any time you need assistance during your stay we are happy to assist. We have one of the larger lots and driveways on the lake. It’s the nature of lake Talquin homes.
Property was nice. Enjoyed the back porch and covered dock/boat house area. Property was clean and property manager was quick to respond.

Thank you for taking time to review our property. It is guests like you who make doing this worth while. So happy to share our little home away from home with you.
This location is the perfect spot for a fisherman’s treat! The home is great, easy to dock your boat and really good fishing! We caught two nice size bass approximately 50 feet from the dock while on the boat. Check in/out is a breeze and Kim is very responsive to texts. 10/10 recommend!
We had a good time. The house is comfortable. Our stay over the Christmas holiday was enjoyable even thought the outside temperature was the coldest in 30 years. After we contacted the owner she increased the temperature setting inside the house and we were comfortable.
The views of the lake are pretty!
We had the best time at this Fisherman’s paradise for our long FSU weekend. The cabin was immaculately clean and so cozy. Inside there was a great amount of space for a family of five to enjoy family time, without being on top of each other. The dock was great for fishing. My son caught a fish and it made his weekend. We even saw some impressive wildlife! The cabin was 30 minutes away from the stadium, literally right up the highway, so we got to enjoy the campus and the late night game and then come back to our rustic paradise. Our hosts were so responsive and made everything easy for us. Such a great experience. Highly recommend.
The lure of the water cannot be denied. It is beautiful to look and just see the lake and all the trees. The neighbors were good in that you didn't know they were there.
The house was clean inside which is something I appreciate. The kitchen is well supplied.
It was funny in one instance. We would hear big bangs on the back porch. When we looked, there was nothing there! Finally we realized it was the big nuts falling from the trees.
Thank you for sharing your home.

Your review is absolutely delightful. So happy to have you!
This property was a little far to go back and forth from FSU but it was ok. Kim was very responsive so we appreciated that. She adjusted the air conditioning for us at night since it was warm to sleep. The motion lights did not come on in the evening so we had to make sure it was ok to let the lights on at night. Especially since you have to walk around to the back of the house to get in. I think someone just turned them off since the instructions say to turn all lights off upon leaving. Everything is older in the home but we had everything we needed for three nights. I did find it difficult to get ready in the bathroom since there is no space to put toiletries or make-up. We didn't sit on the dock as everything outside could use a good cleaning. We appreciated Kim renting to us since all hotels close to FSU were sold out or extremely outrageous in price.

Oh Dianna. I sort of thought you might leave a review as strange as the messages you sent me during your stay. For our potential renters, please know that this person sent me extremely strange messages during the stay that did not make sense. Dianna, I wished you would have shared your frustrations with me before making negative comments about things you didn't like on VRBO. The property location is provided to you when you rent. We are 25 minutes to the campus. We are located on Lake Talquin and yes that is not right near the campus. Most people who stay with us, research those things before booking the property. We actually sell out for fsu home games and have never had a complaint about where the property is located. Regarding the toiletry and bathroom complaint, we have two bathrooms.. one has a larger sink area. Additionally we have renovated the house. Most homes on lake talquin are older but they are beautiful and we appreciate their history. We completely renovated the floors, put in all new appliances, and installed another bathroom which is completely new, so again the comment about everything being older is simply not true. Outside is as clean as it can get with it being outside. We are on the lake, and we don't live there but will try to tell our cleaning staff to do a once over outside after each stay but florida lake winds and storms, its impossible to keep pollin and leaves off the porch. Dianna contacted me about the lights, and I adjusted them to be more sensative so they would activate when they went outside. I never heard another thing after that. I also told her how to turn on lights outside but perhaps she doesn't know how to turn on lights.
Dianna will not be welcome back.
2022 Thanksgiving Dinner & FSU vs. UF Football game - our daughter is a Junior at FSU
The house is nicer than the pictures present. Very clean, lovely lake house decorations. Great kitchen to make Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoyed coffee on back patio looking over beautiful lake. Easy access to boat ramp to get in water and close to house, very nice boat doc. Felt like we were in Georgia, so pretty and relaxing. Would definitely love to go back.
