Talquin Lakeside Retreat 4BR/2Bath 1500sqft, 25 minutes to FSU

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful lakefront home with state forest views. 25 minutes to FSU and airport, 30 minutes to downtown. Launch your boat at Hall's Landing public boat ramp, store it in our covered boat slip, and park your trailer in the yard.

High speed internet, wi-fi, and 3 smart TVs. Washer and dryer. Kitchen stocked with basic cookware. Our home features modern convenience mixed with rustic charm, creating a relaxing space to get away and unwind. Tucked away near the headwaters of the Harvey Creek arm, across from the Talquin State Forest, it offers more privacy than most homes on the lake. Views from the decks and dock do not include other homes, docks, and people across the creek. The view does include water, trees, waterfowl, lily pads, herons, occasional bald eagles or ospreys, and a few folks fishing from their boats. The neighbors' docks are nearly out of sight from our dock, because of the bend of the lake and trees.

Park your car under the carport, and enter the home from the lakeside, via 3 steps up to a covered entrance. Walk into the living room, and be greeted by tongue in groove pine walls and white wood ceilings. Sit back in 4 reclining seats, and watch a ball game on the 75" LG Smart TV. A short hallway takes you to the main bedroom, bath, and kitchen. From the open kitchen/dining area there are 2 steps leading up to the other bedrooms and bathroom.

There are 2 large bedrooms, and 2 small ones. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The double bed room has a window AC unit. The twin room does not have AC, but does have a floor fan. Bedroom 1 has a King bed, with a Hybrid medium firmness Euro Top mattress, dresser, nightstand, and Smart TV. Bedroom 2 has a King memory foam medium firm mattress, dresser, nightstand, and Smart TV. Bedroom 3 has a Twin and nightstand. Bedroom 4 has a Double with a Hybrid mattress, chest of drawers, and nightstand. USB charging is available in each bedroom. Bathroom 1 has ample room and a large walk-in shower. Bathroom 2 has a smaller walk in shower and is a tighter space.

There are 2 decks accessed from the living room. Both have seating on chairs and benches. There are about 40 steps, with a handrail, down to the dock. The dock has 2 boat slips and a fish cleaning station for your use. There is a large shed for guests to use as needed.

While we are pet friendly, there is a pet fee, so be sure and list your pet on your reservation.
