Nice little cabin with guest house. The owners are a really nice couple that helped out with any questions. The outside shower is really nice. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you. Would love for you alll to come back anytime. We enjoyed you as neighbors..
This is the best place I have ever rented! Exactly like the online description! Perfect little place that is totally fenced in for the fur babies.!! Joan, the host is very nice!
We enjoyed our stay! It was very peaceful as I was recovering from a health condition! It’s just what we needed. The owners were very nice and check in was easy! Thank you
This cottage was perfect for me and my pup and exactly as described. (We did not need the guesthouse but it was cute as well) Quiet neighborhood, easy 12 minute walk to beach, the beach was quiet, pet friendly and beautiful. Easy check in, easy check out. We really enjoyed the solitude. Just what I needed! Thank you, we will plan to visit again.

Thank you for your review. I’m so glad you enjoyed the cottage
My husband, my sister and I stayed here for a week. My sister stayed in the guest house and we stayed in the cottage. This cottage is off the main road and is a very quiet and very relaxing place to stay. We spent most of our time on the back deck. We Absolutely would come again.

Robert and family were excellent guests and took very good care of our cottage. We hope they come back to visit our place again.
Cute cabin and guest house that was perfect for 3 old sister’s. It had everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet and everyone was friendly. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch. We love this area and have been returning every few years, for twenty five years. We would definitely rent again.
Our weekend away was great. With a fully fenced yard we had no concerns letting our pups outside to play on their own while we enjoyed the screened in porch watching them run around. Location makes the beach and restaurants and all other attractions very easy to get to. The neighbourhood is quiet and the neighbours are friendly! Most of all our dogs had the best time! Thank you!
Very much enjoyed our stay at Daisy's cottage. My wife, myself, and adult son along with our dog found there to be plenty of room utilizing both units. The outside deck and shower were very nice and saw much use. Mornings on the front porch having coffee were great. Trips to the beach on our golf cart were easy and pleasant. Total atmosphere of the trip was excellent. Will definitely be returning. Thanks Joan, it was great to deal with you!

ricky, im in contact with them my only choice is to leave it with no rating on communication or to cancel all of the ratings. No way to do it over. which had you rather me do? I'm so sorry, I don't know how I missed it. please let me know soon, I'm still on hold with them>
Really cool little beach cottage located in between Port St Joe and Mexico Beach. We chose this area and property because my wife and I brought our dog for our 3 day trip. We didn’t need the extra cottage but would make a great set up for 2 couples or a couple of kids. Really enjoyed the screened in porch and deck area between the cottages when the sun went down. The fenced in yard made it easy for the dog. Cold AC and everything was clean and well stocked. It’s just a couple blocks from the ocean so it’s definitely walkable but we were also able to drive and park at the beach. We loved the quiet area and will definitely be back!
I had a wonderful stay at Joan's cottage. The property is exactly as described, I did not use the guest house, it was just me and my 2 dogs. The property is perfect for dogs as it is fenced in. The front/back yards have plenty of grassy areas to run around.
Except for Mexico Beach itself, all beaches in the area are dog friendly, you can walk to St. Joe beach from the cottage. Definitely recommend Cape San Blas (35 mins south) and the beaches north of Mexico Beach located off Canal Parkway. Miles and miles of mostly empty beaches this time of year.
We had a blast!

Deck, porch and outdoor shower were great!
Place was just what we were looking for with our two 30lb dogs. There were some mud dobbers nesting outside and the unfortunately made it into the house several times and we’re pretty sure the were not coming in the door with us. Place is nicely setup for two adults. Just be aware there is only one bed in main house. Second bed is in adjacent guesthouse. The window AC unit in guesthouse didn’t cool very well but we had great weather so it was okay - would have been an issue later in summer. Smart TV was appreciated for catching up on Netflix in evenings. Kitchen had what we needed. Loved the outdoor shower and doing yoga on the large deck in the morning!
Good location, 2 1/2 blocks from a beautiful quiet beach. Safe neighborhood.
Bed was comfortable.
Washer and dryer a plus.
Nice large fenced in yard for pets.
TVs in both bedrooms, and Roku TV in living room that had Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Plus, etc.
Nice screened in porch.
Books and puzzles for rainy days spent inside.
'Old Florida' feel. Nothing fancy but very comfortable.
My pup and I walked the beach almost every day. If you want to get your steps in, you can walk the beach or the road for 1 1/2 miles to a dog park, which we did 3 times and met some great local people.
Owners live next door, greeted us when we arrived. They were available if we needed anything, but most days they just let us be.
Not much to do in this village of St Joe's Beach, but plenty of shops and restaurants in Port St Joe.
I recommend a drive to Apalachicola, with plenty of funky beachy shops and cafes.

Not as expected
The cabin was a disappointment seems like things work but just barely. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very loud. There is a leak in the outside shower. Most of the water goes behind the wall. Even the toaster bread just barely fit in it you have to cut it in half or toast it twice and turn it upside down the second time.
all in all it was not as I expected.
I sent you some photos of the chair and the table on the front porch. I don’t know if you’re even aware of what’s going on at your the cabin, perhaps you need to visit it sometime.
Sincerely,
The Altman’s

I'm sorry if our Daisy's Beach Cottage was not as you expected. You are the first renter that has complained about the cottage in the 3 years that I have rented it. To address the complaints: (1) The air conditioner in the bedroom you said was loud. We recently replaced the Air Conditioner in the the main room and most of our customers use it to cool the whole cottage. (2) Leak in the outside shower. No one before you or after you have acknowledged this. (3) No one has ever complained about the toaster being too small. (4) The table and chairs on the front porch having a problem, what was the problem? I'm sorry if the cottage did not meet your expectations but all you had to do was give me a call and we have people who take care of any problem. As for us being around, We live next door most of the year and we are very aware of its condition.
First let me say, I would have given this property 5 stars had it not been for the holes in the fence. I really enjoyed the cozy little house as it ended up being just me and my two dogs. It's a very quiet area, which I have always liked. I would have enjoyed a higher fence on the right side of the property for more privacy as another home is very close. The guest cottage is perfect if you have more people with you. I had friends come for pizza on the porch one day and that was a perfect place to gather and visit. My only concern were the gaps in the fence as both of my dogs found one and escaped. Luckily, since I had lived close by before, an old neighbor spotted them and called me before it was a major ordeal. I will be coming back to St. Joe Beach often and would consider booking this cottage again but only after all the bad areas in the fence are mended and my dogs would stay securely inside.
Although the temperatures were on the chilly side, we enjoyed our stay. We did a lot of sight seeing, and really liked the “forgotten coast.” Loved the fenced in yard for our fur baby too.
My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs and loved it! It was just the right size, clean, welcoming, and just perfect for our beach stay. The dogs loved having a fenced in yard to run in and we were close enough to the beach to walk there but not right on busy Hwy 98. And our host was wonderful to deal with. I hope to go back again!
Loved the front porch. Very quite and relaxing . Everything was clean and neat.
It’s been a while since we have had to do a rental, we were very pleased. I definitely will keep this cottage in mind for our next forgotten coast trip.
Great place to get away from everyday life, and the hustle and bustle of Christmas week. Cottage was small but adequate. Had all the necessities we needing for our week stay. And the beaches.....now who does not like white sand?!?! Owner is awesome. Took care of a situation immediately. Will definitely stay again!!! Thanks Joan!!
