Rustic Lakeside Cabin at White Gate Farm

Beautiful private cabin, just 1 foot from Lake Pattagansett, has its own beach and dock. Suitable for 2 adults or couple with kids. Queen bed is on the second floor. Through the huge window you can view the lake from both floors. The kitchen includes fridge, sink, stove and oven, and all kitchenware needed for cooking. The picnic bench, grill and fire pit right outside are perfect for family dinners. If you will be here on Saturday, Sunday or Monday you may want to order prepared foods, pastries, produce, eggs, meat and more from our on-line store (https://shop.whitegatefarm.net/) which is open Tuesday 12:01 am to Wednesday midnight. The summer farm stand is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 2.
Swimming in the lake, fishing, hiking on nearby trails and exploring the farm are some of the activities available for our guests. We also provide a paddleboat, 2 stand up paddle boards and a kayak -- items which are shared with the inn guests (at their separate beach.). The WiFi works well and its Password is suNnytoEs25.

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house, beautiful setting right on the lake with farmland and fields. Great location for restaurants, beaches and sightseeing. The lake house is very cozy and quaint, and pet friendly. It could use a deep clean as there were cobwebs and dust bunnies but otherwise a very nice place to stay.

Wonderful place to stay. So relaxing and peaceful. We spent the majority of our time just sitting outside by the lake and at the fire pit. Our dog was so happy to swim and play ball. Will definitely be returning!

Could not have dreamt of a better stay! Pauline’s property is so beautiful and relaxing, and the weekend access to the fabulous White Gate Farmstand makes for a delicious and convenient setup. The cabin was charming, clean, well-equipped, and totally comfortable. The lake access is every bit as convenient as it appears on the listing, and we are already looking forward to our next stay!

Peaceful lakeside stay

We came with our dog for a few days and couldn’t have had a more relaxing time! The lake was quiet & a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing stay. Close to town for groceries and supplies, but still very private. Great place to disconnect for a while!

Wonderful Staycation

We are local to the area and wanted a mini vacation without having to travel far. The cabin was absolutely perfect! The gigantic picture window, the private dock, and quiet farmland surroundings were the highlights of the property. Seeing the fog dance across the lake during sunrise was magical!

My mom bought this farm in 1974. On it was an ice house, which, in the early days, had stored blocks of ice from the lake. The ice was delivered to "ice boxes" in area homes and businesses. The cabin was upgraded in 1975 and further improved in 2002.

Why they chose this property

The entire property is a jewel with almost 100 acres of fields, ponds, woods and of course the lake front. It has featured a commercial organic farm since 1999.

What makes this property unique

Visitors can inspect all aspects of the farm, hike in the woods, or arrange farm tours. They may also purchase farm provisions such as eggs, bread, prepared foods, pastries, organic produce and more.
