Great Location

This was a perfect place to stay and central to lots of walks and cycling and of course the Lake. The Bach had everything we needed with a lovely covered deck. Great spa and plenty of parking. Had a lovely holiday here

Perfect getaway

We had our Christmas day here and we absolutely loved our stay! The spa was amazing for the rainy summer nights and the fish collection was hilariously fab! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is wanting a decently priced accommodation in Mangakino

perfect spot for winter break too!

We had a very good time this Matariki holiday weekend, the house is very clean, with very good comfortable beds and couches, a wood burner en a fully stocked kitchen. We of course enjoyed 3 nights in the spa, just relaxing after the river walks we had done. It was super fun exploring this area we had never been, with the Waikato river trail and investigating the Maraetai and Waipapa dams and the lake. So I can highly recommend a stay here!!! Thanks so much for having us stay!

Fantastic Getaway Bach

We loved our stay at this bach. It was exactly as described in the profile. It is very close to the lake shore and had everything we needed - even baking tins and mixer etc to bake some scones. We really enjoyed the spa pool as a special treat in the evenings, and the outdoor fairy lights give the property a cosy feel at night. The only downside was that the next door neighbours decided to burn plastics in their backyard and had their boom box on full volume for some days of our stay (school holidays) - we didn't dare approach them. Thank you for an amazing time - we would love to return.

A wonderful stay

Such a fun, quirky Bach to spend a couple days, we loved it! Clean, comfy beds and super close to the lake. The spa, fire and singing lobster were highlights. Thank you Amber for a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay here, Bach had everything you need including a lovely spa. Fully fenced for our dog so we could relax & let her enjoy the large backyard. Close to the lake & walking tracks. Super easy communication with owners. Thank you for letting us stay.

Quirky retro cottage for family (plus dog)

We needed two doubles and a single, and a place for our small dog, to stay and this fitted the bill, half an our drive from Tokoroa for an extended family Xmas. Good size for a small family. Functional kitchen and an excellent shower. Cosy lounge with lots of fishing memorabilia. Dining table is outside only. Large outside deck. Very sunny, but with limited shade for the non-sunlovers amongst us. Glimpse of lake only when standing in kitchen, but a short 2 minute walk to lakefront reserve, with golfcourse, frisbee golf and a children's playground. The security system and fully fenced property were reassuring 'extras', plus the spa was ready for use on arrival. :)

Our family of five (with 3 teenagers) had a lovely mid-winter stay in this cute bach. We walked parts of the Waikato river trail, visited Taupo, and used the hot tub every night. Super relaxing!
