The Railway Sleeper - your home away from home

Welcome to our 4 bedroom house right in the heart of the Junction - just an 18 minute drive from the top of the mountain or a 2 minute walk to the Powderkeg and other Junction eateries and bars.

The house has been modernised while keeping some original features to get the balance of old and new. There are 3 rooms with a queen or double bed and “the bunk room” with 4 big single beds the kids will love!

Warm and cosy in winter and cool in Summer this is the perfect spot to bring family and friends for an amazing holiday in the winter for the snow or in the summer for biking and hiking.

* Can sleep up to 10 people with comfortable beds throughout the house
* 1 queen bed, 2 double beds, and 4 single bunks.
* All linen provided - including towels
* Free WiFi over Fibre connection.
* Secure drying room / mountain bike storage room in the shed. Great for getting all your gear dry and ready for the next day skiing.

This house is in a perfect location for Powderkeg and Turoa. It is a really comfortable house to stay in, with plenty of space and everything you need. Highly recommend and would be more than happy to stay here again.

Fabulous place

Loved our time here in this spacious, cosy heritage cottage! The beds were all very comfortable, electric blankets made it next level. A short stroll to the awa, and close to everything you need. Highly recommended.

We stayed at 23 Railway Road in Ohakune for our daughter’s basic training graduation, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The place was well set up, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and stress-free visit. The space was warm, welcoming, and clearly well loved — it really felt like a home away from home.
