Days Bay Apartment - Beach, bush and privacy
LOCATION. Days Bay, arguably the best swimming and fun beach in Wellington. Wharf jumping and swimming to the raft are Days Bay specialties in summer!
ACCOMMODATION Your Accommodation is a 1 Bedroom Apartment, purpose built. It is warm with double glazing and good heating, also has a good shower.
You will be self contained, have your own entrance and own outdoor area. Location is no more than a couple of minutes walk to the beach, cafes, tennis, bus, ferry, Gallery and bush walks. We are upstairs - Come up and see us or be totally private - it is your choice.
Ideally 2 persons, up to a maximum 3 persons.
FURRY FRIENDS If you are wanting to bring your furry friend, please contact us to make sure the property is suitable. There is an additional cost for pets.
AMENITIES in the apartment In the bedroom, you have a King size bed and a single bed.
The main area is an open plan combined kitchen/lounge - with a SmartTV (bring your Netflix or Lightbox login details), couches, dining suite etc.
The bathroom - a toilet, shower and basin.
Equipped for self-catering, included are a few basics (tea coffee, sugar, salt pepper).
Linen included. Washing Machine located just outside back door.
Wireless internet is available.
AMENITIES outside the Apartment The garden/outdoor living area landscaped, there is a table and BBQ Off street parking.
LOCATION Days Bay is a nice quiet beachfront neighborhood surrounded by bush. The apartment is located about 100m back from the beach. Within a 2 minutes walk of the property, you can experience the Days Bay swimming beach, Days Bay Pizzeria, Days Bay Pavilion Cafe, Days Bay Cafe, Sea Salt Restaurant (amazing views to Wellington), a lovely gift shop and gallery, bus stop, Williams Park and bush walks galore. The East by West Ferry takes commuters to/from Days Bay and Wellington throughout the day and also stops at historic Matiu/Somes Island.
Within 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk along the beach front is the Eastbourne Village. Here you will find the supermarket, pharmacy, deli, post shop, gift shops, Fish and Chips, Indian Takeaway, Liquor shop, Library, cafes, playground, outdoor swimming pool, school and the pub.
GETTING HERE Wellington is a 30 minute drive, the airport about 40 minutes – depending on traffic. If you are flying in, it is sensible to catch an Uber or the Airport Shuttle – delivers to the door (cheaper than a taxi).
If you are coming off the InterIslander Ferry, have a look out the right window as you sail into the harbour and you will see Eastbourne Village and the Bays. I will be a lovely 20 minute drive around the harbour from the ferry terminal.

So close to the ocean, beach, and ferry. We had a parking spot for our rental car. The water pressure in the shower was the best out all the places we stayed in New Zealand.Public transit into wellington was easy, and about a block away walk. The apartment was modern, and fully stocked. Very comfortable beds, and linens.
Absolutely brilliant stay. The property suited my needs and was exactly as shown in the listing. Lovely spot. Very easy booking/check in process. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed a few days in the area visiting friends and family , using Days Bay as a base and heading off to walk the Tongariro crossing further north. It worked out perfectly for what we needed. Perfectly located, making it very easy to visit the city too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

My 13 year old might have been a bit heavy for the top bunk bed and would probably suggest it for smaller children, instead.
Loved our stay overall and highly recommendable.
Great stay except for noise from those above us. Obviously wooden flooring, we could hear every step and even phone conversation at one stage. Very hard bed.
We have stayed before in the smaller studio so decided to try the apartment this time. Both very good. But apartment better as it gets the sun and can park off the road
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Days Bay apartment. We particularly enjoyed being able to have our little dog with us. It was a great spot for walking by the beach, jetty and park. The cafe and pizzeria in the park had great food with lots of space inside and out. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was also a pleasant outdoor area which would great in summer. It was also private with secure parking.
Becky was an excellent host, very accommodating and quick to answer any queries we had. I'd highly recommend the apartment to other guests
Nous avons encore une fois bien apprécié notre séjour à Days Bay , dans l’appartement de Becky. Excellent emplacement pour marcher, aller à la plage, ou aller au centre-ville de Wellington via le Day’s Bay ferry.
L’appartement est simple, commode pour deux personnes, avec tout ce qui est nécessaire pour un couple en vacances.
Property was perfect and in a great location. Owners were very accommodating in allowing us to park a trailer inside gates. Thanks we had a great stay.
This bach was just perfect. We were selling our house and had to pack everything to go overseas. It was lovely to come back here after exhausting days. The proximity to the waterfront was brilliant and the eateries just lovely. Perfect spot for a wonderful, restful break!

We have lived in Days Bay for 30+ years. We have 3 grown up children whom have almost all left home. We have traveled, particularly in Asia and lived in Singapore for 4 years. We particularly enjoy the bush and village life that is Eastbourne, but with the added advantage of being near Wellington City where we can get our cultural, shopping and sporting fix :-)
