Ruru Cottage - cosy native forest hideaway

Loose yourselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. A perfect place for a family or group of friends to relax together.
Ruru is tastefully built in sustainably harvested native timbers and macrocarpa. It is snugly tucked on a stream confluence at the foot of Kahurangi National Park and enjoys a rich "dawn chorus" and "morepork" (native owl) song in the evenings.
A great log fire warms you on cooler evenings and a streamside bush bath awaits you after your day walking, horse trekking or finishing the Heaphy Track.
The local beach is only 300m down the road.

Special conditions:
Dishes expected to be washed and put away.
The stream is unfenced and young children need supervision.
Smoking allowed outside only.
No Pets allowed.
Be aware of ladders to lofts.
Shower and toilet inside but bush bath is outside beside stream.
Washing machine.
Mobile signals vary..may need to walk down driveway.
