Fantastic place to stay. Was only two of us for this stay but would definitely suit a family as well. Everything was perfect. Attention to detail is amazing.
If we return to Whanganui this property is the one. A really lovely place. Sitting on the back deck is a joy and the house has 3 excellent bedrooms. David was there when we arrived and was very helpful. Highly recommend.
A comfortable sunny location surrounded by trees and native bird song. Fully fenced and dog friendly with lovely gardens front and back for our pooch to explore! Everything you need for a relaxing stay. It was our second stay and we were delighted to discover the addition of a big new sunny deck and outdoor spa pool which proved especially enjoyable on what turned out to be a rather chilly winter trip.
Great place to stay in Whanganui. Peaceful bush setting while close to town. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts were very helpful and communication was excellent. Highly recommend Durievale Retreat.
Very comfortable beds, well designed spaces, great kitchen, for relaxing stay. Walking distance from town, deck with lovely view. Watched fantails from the hot tub. Host helpful and friendly thank you
The property is immaculate and very peaceful. Relaxing in the spa pool surrounded by native birds is a lovely way to spend the evening. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful.
Durievale Retreat is a great place to stay when in Whanganui. It's just as described, within walking distance of town, and just a 10 or 15-minute drive to the beach. And the deck out back is perfect!
