Wonderful location, with thoughtful touches and amenities in all of the rooms. We highly enjoyed the spa pool and the host left clear instructions and was very quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend!!
A perfect location for exploring Dunedin. The house was huge with tons of character. For 2 couples we were able to spread out and have our own space. The bedrooms were massive and exhibiting the classical decor of the home. We were brave enough to back into the very steep driveway and gain access through the backyard.

Thanks so much for your review and I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and the expansiveness of the house. Very brave reversing up the drive! I’ve never tried that. 😊
We had a wonderful 2 day stay in this truly beautiful home without the need to get in the car once because it was so central. Equiped with everything you could possibly need and very comfortable we will certainly look to stay here again. Lisa could not have been more helpful or easier to communicate with - all in all a superb stay, thank you.
This beautiful property is easy to find, fantastic location close to everything. Lisa was easy to contact and provided clear instructions about the house.
We loved the hot tub, the views and the many little extras provided.

Lovely spot in Dunedin. Lisa made us feel so special with lovely additions of bread and fresh flowers. Quite a delightful spot near all the prime locations in Dunedin and the place has wonderful views. We enjoyed playing records on the turntable and lounging in the lovely living room. Highly recommend this exquisite Edwardian grand home.

Fantastic, welcoming, best ever!!
We were steps from downtown, 4 blocks from the grocery store.
The house was a treat. Old Victorian home, each space was a treat. We enjoyed appetizers on the back deck, and ate dinner in the front dining room overlooking the street. I wish we had stayed more than 2 nights.

So lovely to get this positive feedback. Happy to have been able to oblige and so pleased to hear you had such a lovely time in my home and in Dunedin. Thank you for leaving my home so clean and tidy and for this wonderful feedback. 😊
We fell in love with this house, it provided a beautiful and relaxing environment right in the city centre. The artwork and decor made it all the more special. Huge bedrooms with comfortable beds, kitchen came with all the appliances you could need. Lovely and friendly communication with Lisa. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Parking instructions were incomplete and based on that we tried to park in the carport as suggested. On doing this we caused damage to our vehicle...which spoiled our stay. The host should have clearly explained the parking options which would have avoided damaging the car.

I’m sorry to hear you damaged your vehicle. I’d appreciate you email me about this, as I was unaware there was an accident and would like to know where and how the damage occurred.
Car parking options for the property are fully described in the house instructions. These are sent out in advance and a hard copy of these is also left in the house. Additionally, I spoke with you on the night of arrival and explained your parking options: you could park in the entrance to the drive, in the car parks across the road, or drive up into the carport.
The drive is quite narrow and steep up in to the carport, but most guests prefer to access the property that way, and can reverse easily enough with mirrors, reversing cameras etc and I’ve never received a complaint before.
I wonder if you didn’t properly read the house instructions (evident by the way the rubbish was leff also - with half a dozen wine bottles with lids left in the wrong recycling bin, which I had to pull out and separate) - I think if you had, that might have made things easier for you.
That said, I appreciate the feedback and will see if I can’t make the house instructions even clearer where parking is concerned for future guests. Thank you for your comment.

The location was perfect as it was only a 5-10min walk to the centre of town. A mall and supermarket were only 4-5mins walk. altho' the walk back up the hill to the house was a bit of a killer. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay including a port-a-cot and a high chair for bubs.
The only moan was my husband complaining there was no electric blanket on his side of the bed :-)

Thank you so much for the review and I’m so sorry about the electric blanket - there was a second one in the wardrobe which I should have had the cleaners put on the bed before your stay. My mistake.
The hill is short, but steep, so can get you if you’re not used to it! I’m glad you enjoyed the central location and proximity to town and the stadium otherwise. ??
Exquisite, sumptuous home! Beautiful appliances, towels, bedding etc.
Art and antiques in the home are visually stunning. The whole atmosphere is one of comfort, care, pride, and attention to detail.
The owner is lovely and thinks of everything - we had lovely bread provided, tea, coffee, milk and preserves.
The home radiates warmth in every sense - physical and metaphorical.

Having stayed at this amazing villa we opted to treat our daughter and family for her Graduation. It was conveniently close to all the downtown activities and made for a wonderful backdrop for family portraits we organised with a professional photographer.
With little ones in tow the well resourced kitchen and cosy dinette was well used. Lisa had left lots of stores and her communication in identifying any extra needs for this special occasion was superb.
Recommend this classy accommodation for anyone wanting to treat themselves in beautiful Dunedin.
Thank you Lisa for allowing us to share your beautifully presented home with all its wonderful treasures

Just one thing.
Just one thing. SKY TV or lack of.
This is the 21st century.
Can not fault standards or location just that one thing, a lack of SKY TV.

Response from VrboOwner on 31 Mar, 2020
Sorry Lez, we have apple tv and netflix and a dvd player and dvds...but you're right, no sky. Sorry if this adversely impacted on your stay.
We had an amazing four week stay at this property. It was wonderful in every way! It's difficult to write a review that does it justice.
The house is architecturally beautiful and has a wonderful array of rooms and spaces to spread out and enjoy yourself. Upon entering the house, you'll immediately notice that it is beautifully decorated, with interesting art and a comfortable feel. It's a welcoming and fun home. The patio is especially inviting. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor space as well as the indoor space!
Loved the location- so close to everything! Dunedin itself has much to offer. We walked to restaurants, museums, the grocery, Saturday Farmer's Market, etc.
And within a 30 minute drive there are many hikes and walks and so much fabulous scenery to enjoy.
The owner, Lisa, is very responsive to any questions and is easy and enjoyable to interact with.
You'll be ever so glad you booked this home!
Lisa is an amazing host and we could not fault her communication and organisation of our stay. Unfortunately we were in Dunedin under difficult and stressful circumstances and Lisa was incredibly understanding and accommodating for our family. The house is lovely and just a short walk to main street and numerous eateries. Would definitely recommend Lisa and this property.
A beautiful home with lovely old-world features but all the mod-cons to make for a very comfortable stay. Eclectic furniture and art added to the charm of the house. So close to town, and yet a hideway with private back garden, BBQ and wonderful spa pool. Lisa was a very charming and helpful host. Our stay here was wonderful.
Beautiful home, clean, very warm and well located. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with - always friendly, prompt and thorough with communication. You will not be disappointed with this property/host, highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.
This property was wonderful and Lisa was incredible to deal with. A last minute dash to Dunedin required a comfortable accommodation in close proximity to central Dunedin, and this property offered comfort, wonderful location and an exceptional host.
Lisa was an amazing host and everything was provided. Her Local knowledge is exceptional & recommendations were spot on. We had an amazing meal at Brackens. Beds exceptionally comfortable and the rooms so spacious. The location was ultra convenient. We loved the cosy kitchen & dining area in front of the pellet fire. Definetly recommend.
Very enjoyable stay in Dunedin in a beautiful Victorian home. The listing was accurate and the property owner communicated well with us prior to our arrival. The location is outstanding and the accommodations clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this listing!
There really should be a six star rating for superior accommodations such as this. We were very impressed by the quality of the furnishings, the amenities, the attention to detail and the overall ambience. The patio with a small terraced garden was also delightful. We loved every minute of our stay here and highly recommend it.

A beautiful well presented property, very spacious and conveniently located, albeit necessitating a short, but very steep climb from the CBD. A very comfortable place to stay with all the facilities readily available. Host Lisa communicated promptly and informatively.
