Our daughter stayed here the night before her wedding with her bridesmaids. It was the perfect setting for them to get ready and for pictures before the wedding. Just gorgeous!
Our family reunion stay exceeded all expectations. This home is an architectural marvel -- interiors and exteriors are breathtakingly beautiful and the hosts understand what it means to offer gracious hospitality. Every detail has been carefully attended to -- comfortable furniture and beds, plenty of plush towels, a well-stocked kitchen, and lots of fun games for rainy days and evening amusement. Also, the fishing ponds provided even more pleasure for the anglers among us. Highest praise!
Searching for a reasonably safe place for six family members to vacation together during the pandemic, we stumbled across this newly available property in the Virginia mountains near Charlottesville.
It listed enough room for us, and looked like it was located close enough to mountains and towns so we could find outdoor things to do and nice places to eat. We stayed for six nights in mid-July, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The property is beautiful, quiet, and immaculately maintained, and it was an easy drive to hiking, to restaurants and grocery stores, and to Charlottesville for some shopping. At the end of the day, we returned home to exquisite sunsets and family game nights at the large dining room table, or at the foosball and ping pong tables. The comfortable beds ensured a good night’s rest so we could wake up energized and ready to start a brand new day of adventures (after a hearty breakfast in the well-appointed kitchen, of course).
Our sons fiancée and her bridesmaids stayed here before the wedding. It made a wonderful place to get spend time tougher before the wedding as well as a great place for them all to get ready together. I highly recommend!
Clean, cozy, and even better than the pictures! We took a last-minute family vacation and really loved the place. Lot’s of nice extras to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Close to Shenandoah and Charlottesville for hiking, shopping, dining. Tim and Kim are terrific hosts.
Wonderful stay that makes it so much easier since it's a a work trip
This has become my home away from home when I'm traveling on business. You can't beat staying in a clean home where you can cook and have room to relax versus staying in a hotel. I highly recommend this home. The owners are fabulous!!!
Our experience at the house was amazing. We spent a weekend with family visiting nearby wineries/breweries, and I proposed to my fiancé in the courtyard of the property - it was perfect. The setting and views from the house were even better than the pictures, and the house itself was such a cool design. Very comfortable and unique. The owners were also very responsive and helped with some packages we had delivered. Highly recommend for a getaway to a beautiful part of Virginia!
We had a great time! The house was clean and welcoming. It is really comfortable and there is a lot of room. The toys in the garage- ping pong table and game console - were a lot of fun! We totally recommend a stay here- whether it is to check out the wineries or hike the Appalanachian Trails. The location is great- so close to Skyline and the Blue Ridge Parkway. In addition, Waynesboro had some fun place to eat.
This is my second time staying and it was just as great as the first time. The owners are wonderful! The house is very clean and sits on beautiful land facing the mountains. I can't wait to come back again if they will have me.
I had a wonderful stay at this house. It was very clean, spacious, and accessible to shops. The owners are fantastic and made my three-week trip seamless. The property is gorgeous with mountain views and friendly neighbors. I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again!

This comfortable home with beautiful views was the perfect place for a winter getaway with family! With fresh snow on the ground, I felt like I was looking out at a postcard all weekend:). Wonderful hosts also!
Honeysuckle Ridge is absolutely stunning! The owners put so much thought into every little detail and we felt so pampered. It was meticulously clean, the decor was beautiful, the beds were comfy, there was plenty of space to hang out and the location was peaceful and picturesque. It was the perfect spot to spend time with family. I only regret that we couldn't stay longer!
The house and property are stunning! They exude peace, tranquility and beauty. There's a little bit of "special" in every room, from the beams to the floors, to the beds, and the decor! Kim, the hostess, added personal touches and amenities that I've not seen before. Our stay was magnificient!
After months stuck in our home due to the pandemic, any escape would have been welcome, but our escape to this property was so much more: A beautiful home on a beautiful property, immaculately maintained, with all of the comforts and amenities you could want. A great "base camp" for hiking on the Appalachian Trail and in the Shenandoah National Park. One caution - the internet is a bit spotty and only paid television service available (e.g. Netflix), but if you want to watch television, you can get that at home! Kim welcomed us with a snack basket, but then gave us all of the privacy we wanted.

Why they chose this property
Have you ever been to a Pick-Your-Own berry farm? In the 1980s, these 200+ acres were just that, Heston Farm . They offered strawberries, apples, peaches and more. In the 1990's the farm was divided and sold in lots to form this neighborhood also named Heston Farm. 2003 we bought a home here and our family has thrived living in the center of nature. Mr. Heston hand built honeysuckle Ridge for his bride and used the original farm barn topper for the 2nd floor. When the previous owners were no longer able to live here, we were honored their children reached out to us to purchase the family home. Tim and his brothers have put many hours of blood, sweat and tears into renovating this home and bringing it back to its original glory.
What makes this property unique
*Nearest neighbor over 2 acres away *Hand built, hand hewn timbers *Floating staircase, made from original barn timbers buried 4ft into the ground as the house was built *Original Jefferson Air Conditioning *Self regulating fish pond *Relaxing front garden *Sub-terrain home, so you are ground level on the first floor and the second floor
