The house was great for our party, spacious, very comfortable and very well equipped. It was close to the beach with a lovely view. We enjoyed using the kayaks and standup paddle board. Ligar Bay has a great beach and a big inlet leading round to Tata Beach. We would highly recommend it for families.

Lovely Xmas in the Bay

This house was in a great location, just a minute's walk from the beach, with great bay views. Everything was nice and clean, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking a xmas day feast. We had a few questions prior to arriving which Rachel was very quick to answer helpfully. The kayaks and paddleboard provided were a great bonus. Overall we had a really good time in Ligar Bay and would definitely recommend this property!

Lovely Kiwi bach

We had a lovely stay at Rach’s house. As advertised a lovely kiwi bach. Beds were all very comfortable and there were lots of pillows to suit everyone’s needs. The second fridge was a blessing with all our food for the week. Ligar bay was a beautiful and quiet beach and was perfect for a swim/float at high tide and walking at low tide.

Beautiful Golden Bay

The house is comfortable and well equipped. A very short walk to the beach for a play in the water during high tide. Lovely sheltered deck to hide from the weather if desired. Walking distance to Pokhara. Easy drive to Albel Tasman and heaps of other local sight seeing and activities. Takaka is big enough now so that a stop in Motueka is unnecessary for buying groceries.

Could not ask for more

From the outset the owner was very obliging and understanding particularly when our original booking numbers changed due to on going covid restrictions with Australia . The house and interiors completely matched the website which is a always reassuring as me its position one house back from the beach meant great access and views. I would not hesitate to recommend this Bach. We had a wonderful time.
