• Warm and Sunny • Gorgeous views of Mt Iron, Mt Roy, Golf Course and Cardrona Valley • Plenty of space
This well decorated house has plenty of space being two story. It offers a long drive way with a private section, bounding farm land and so close to town.
The lounge and dining area are kept warm with the instant warmth of the heat pump, a large television with freeview and plenty of magazines and games to keep occupied if the weather is cold or wet. A fully equipped kitchen leads off the dining area.
Downstairs offers a large main bedroom with French doors out onto the deck area and an ensuite bathroom.
Upstairs the large main bedroom offers stunning views of the Wanaka Golf Course and the Cardrona Valley. Two more bedrooms are on the top floor, one with two single iron beds and a large room with a double bunk bed on the bottom and single on top.
This is our family’s holiday home, designed to comfortably accommodate our family of six. We love the ample space it offers, both indoors and outdoors, making it the perfect retreat to experience the beauty of Wanaka. In summer, we enjoy boating on the stunning Lake Wanaka, and in winter, we make the most of the ski season at our favorite mountain, Cardrona.
Video surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of the our home. These are located on the garage and on the fence to the west. Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and security of the section. It in no way infringes upon the expectations of privacy in these public areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund.

Not the best. V expensive in terms of the quality of the house. The house was dirty with black hairs everywhere, dust and dirt. The kitchen pans are unusable. There were holes in the sheets. One bedroom is like a cupboard with peeling wallpaper. The dish was was out of service. There are cameras installed to watch you in the garden. For the price we paid the standard of the house was v low. Disappointing for the expensive price.
I couldn’t fault our stay at Suzie’s property! We had a great long weekend made even better by such a lovely place to stay and Suzie was brilliant to deal with, so accommodating and friendly! Thank you

Thanks for your review Julia. There is absolutely no hot tub at our property. We apologise for any confusion caused, as we're puzzled as to why this information was displayed in the system.
Great spacious house walking distance to town centre. Lovely outlook. Excellent communication. Really loved our stay.
It was very cold when we were there. Only two of the four bedrooms upstairs had heaters so the other two rooms got cool at times.
Overall a fabulous place. We would certainly stay again if visiting Wanaka.
After long days on site it was wonderful to come back to a warm, modern and exceptionally clean home, plenty of space, sunshine and comfortable beds.. my staff were very impressed!

Wanaka Holiday
The property was well located and spacious. Suzie's communication was excellent.
We spent Christmas in Wanaka and couldn't have asked for more from this property. Very spacious with a lovely garden space, a very short stroll into the to town. Would love to stay again.
We stayed as 2 families of five. Lots of space for everyone. Good value. Well equipped kitchen. Suzie, the host, was very friendly and helpful and responded really quickly to all requests. Slight road noise, as overlooks a main road, but more than compensated by beautiful views of mountains and convenience of short walk to centre of Wanaka along a safe footpath.

Comfy stay
For the 6 of us, all singles, this was a great house to accommodate us all. With 2 bathrooms and a great laundry to catch up on washing, as we were on a bike ride through parts of NZ.

Very nice stay!
The Alpine Family Holiday House is a perfect house for a big family or group. The house is big, has a lot of space around for the kids to run, games, books, etc. We fell right away at home.
It's ideally located, a short 15min walk from town, and 3min from a nice bakery and butcher.
However, we were a family of 9 who love to cook, and we found that the kitchen was not stocked enough. There is everything you need regarding plates, cups, etc... but there is only 1 pan and 3 small to medium size pots. More pans and pots would definitely be useful, but if you don't cook so much, it won't be a problem.
Otherwise, be aware that the stairs don't have guardrail for babies.
All in all, we had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend this house!

We are a family with four children who live on a farm close to Wanaka. Wanaka was always a holiday destination for both myself and my husband when we were children and we wanted our own children to experience the magical space of Wanaka. Wanaka is our hide away from the real world and somewhere where we can enjoy the lakes and mountains at any time of the year. Most noticeably Wanaka has changed immensley in the last 20 years, we find this an exciting and thrilling wee town that will always hold a special place for us.
Why they chose this property
Our house is the quintessential holiday house of the 90,s. It's clean, tidy and very comfortable. There is plenty of room to spread out if there are two families and plenty of room for everyone.
What makes this property unique
We loved this house as soon as we saw it advertised. To us it depicts the true history of Wanaka with the fabulous Wanaka stone on the lower floor of the property. It isn't a new house, although we have tried to incorporate the furniture theme into something of a modern style For us, this house is about being comfortable and making this your home away from home.
