We found the apartment to be very clean. There are two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and the other with 2 twins. The photos are very accurate. Communication with the host was excellent and we were very appreciative to an early drop off of our luggage. The apartment is in the lower level of a home in a very quiet neighborhood. Several walkable blocks down the road are Asian markets, restaurants and coffee shops. We found it close, by short Uber rides, to anywhere we needed to go. There is another family living above and you do hear them at times. The apartment is minimally furnished but comfortable.
This place was a great find. Having come from a previous place which was also a basement and had issues with upstairs noises we were a little concerned at first. But it turned out just fine. Beautiful decorations of the unit and it was very clean and comfortable. The shower head was particularly nice. We had a great time. About half an hour drive to Vancouver downtown there was a lot of Asian influence including supermarkets etc. perfect for my family.
We spent a few nights while in Vancouver for work - getting a somewhat affordable short-term rental which includes a full kitchen for cooking is very hard to find, so we were happy to find this gem! The check-in process was easy, host was communicative, and the location was fairly central to everything we needed. The space was very clean and functional - though the heat was off when we arrived so it was a little chilly! The modern bathroom was very clean with a big enough shower for 2, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Our only small complaint was that there is almost no sound-proofing between the upper and lower suites, and so you can hear a lot of chatter and stomping around, toilets flushing, doors closing, etc. Some sort of white noise machine would likely help with this if you're sensitive to sounds during the night like we are! We also encountered a few tiny ants throughout the kitchen and dining room (which may have hitched a ride from outside), but something to take note of - make sure to keep food in the cupboards or put away in the fridge so as not to encourage more! Thanks Yein Men!
Our experience with this property was very good and the only thing preventing me from giving it five stars across the board is that the beds are seriously in need of upgrade. The sheets, the blankets and,the pillows, and the mattresses are all of moderate to poor quality. The mattresses are extremely hard. The bed frames creek loudly, and there is nothing pillow about the pillows. We weren’t expecting Weston heavenly beds, but these were very difficult to get a good night. Sleep on. The bathroom is very nice. (recently redone) but I wouldn’t want to use the shower if I was over 6 feet tall. Overall good property for a couple of days stay but no longer than that.
