We really enjoyed our stay. The house was awesome, there were games upstairs for the kids. The disco ball was a hit along with the games. The property was easy to get to. Our trip was in the summer so no issues with snow. The hot tub was not usable during our stay due to some type of something floating in it, not exactly sure what. While that was a bummer, the rest of the house was great. Would stay again.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Overall, the house was nice and spacious for our family. It was nice to have the hot tub. It was a great location as well. We did have two issues that needed to be addressed, One issue was fairly significant. I reached out to the property manager via phone and text and I never heard back from her. I have two VRBO properties and I always respond to my guests as quickly as possible, no matter what the question or issue may be. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the house was nice, but the total lack of communication was horrible.
We really enjoyed this property for a multi-family/generation stay - here for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games (July). All adults in party (23 – 63), and one 3 yr. old (no small child issues here). Mobility and safety were great. Plenty of room to spread out inside as well as outside. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Towels and Linens - washer/dryer onsite, a plus. Great location for GFM Highland Games as well as Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone, and the Parkway. Easy drive up the mountain - not too high up, or nor too steep. No concern on the mountain side. Room to park three cars and still turn around (we had family come and go during our stay). Stores, restaurants, and gas were convenient. (Recommend the Pedaling Pig, Lowes Market, Speedway and ABC – for those over 21). And the Hot Tub worked great! The only thing we missed was a chance to use the fire pit. Would definitely repeat a visit.
