We LOVED our time here!! The kids thought it was so cool that they could watch the cows at any point during the day. When we arrived, there were already some necessities in the fridge and the place was extremely clean. Beds were comfy, bathrooms had heated lights above the showers, kitchen well stocked. Only about 15 minutes from Wartburg campus, with was why we picked it originally.We had a great time! We’ll be back!!

Slept with the cows

We had a great night sleep in a very unique location! Very nice and relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed our tour of the farm, robot milking and calves. Thank you!

Wonderful hosts!

What a fun place to have a family gathering. The kids loved watching the cows. We even saw and got to name a new calf that was born during our stay. Communication and meeting our needs was phenomenal and Lynn even sent to my home address an object i left in the drawer in the bathroom. Great customer service. Lots to do in Waterloo and Waverly as well

Family trip to IA

We were back in IA for a 90th Birthday party and enjoyed our stay at the barn. Very clean and roomy. The grandkids loved watching the cows out the big picture windows upstairs. We got to see a fairly new calf in a pen. The hostess was really nice/friendly and did a great job giving us a tour. Relaxing sitting out in front in the garden area. Thanks!

Dairy Camp

Being at the dairy farm was such a great experience for all of us but especially our granddaughters! It was so much fun for them to see the workings up close and hear from Lynn about the cows, the birthing process, the robotic milking and on and on. She was so well prepared to answer the HUGE number of questions from our girls! Great fun to watch it all from the windows above while enjoying a nice breakfast, playing games, etc. The two tours set us up well to enjoy and understand it all!

The best stay EVER.

While the cost per night is a little higher compared to what I normally spend, the experience for my family was priceless. If you are on the fence, then that means just do it. Make sure to add the farmers experience which comes at an extra fee, but well worth it. I'm not sure who got more out of it, the parents or the kids because the entire experience was truly one-of-a-kind and something that our family will never forget. The family who owns the farm is amazing in every way. I hope we can find ourselves in this part of the country again!

Loved everything about it!

I stayed at this property with my two granddaughters ages 7 and 4. They LOVED it! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The fridge had a variety of cheeses along with milk, water, mini bagels and yogurt. That was a nice surprise. The beds were comfy. A bathroom for each bedroom and anything you would need in the kitchen. The property was spotless and the cow veiwing area is perfect for kids. Toys, games and several TV veiwing options. We will return for sure!

Wonderful Experience

Very fun!

Lynn and Dairy Dan were amazing hosts! We got to tour the dairy barn and visit with all the calfs. If you are ever looking for a night away, I highly recommend the New Day Dairy GuestBarn. We had a fantastic time!

Relax with the cows!

Our family will never forget this amazing VRBO experience. Our hosts had an eye for detail, and nothing was missed. The VRBO was impeccably clean, skillfully decorated in cow-motif, and the beds were absolutely comfy. The continental breakfast was hearty for my teenager and had great variety which included local jams and pastries. We loved sitting around the fire pit and watching the vivid stars as well as gazing upon THE COWS. We took the Be A Dairy Farmer Challenge and grew a new appreciation for the dairy farmer family. Bottle feeding 6-day-old Dave was a true highlight. We urge anyone to sleep with the cows!

Had an amazing time!

We were blown away by how fun this weekend trip was! This was the cleanest property we have ever stayed at and the hosts have thought of every little detail to make the trip enjoyable. We traveled with our 10 year old son and he loved the cows and barn cats equally. The kitchen is well equipped and we ate most our meals right in the living space. We loved that there were 3 bathrooms to give everyone some space to call their own and the beds were very comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a get away! It would be great for families, couples or groups.
