This was such a wonderful place to stay. I am not one for leaving reviews, but this place deserves the 5 star rating. It's the only place that I would want to stay when we visit Fredericksburg again.

This property was so nice and so easy to get to. While you can't walk to main street, it is a very short and easy drive. Would stay here again and highly recommend!

Eclipse getaway

I stayed here for the 2024 eclipse and it was a really wonderful stay. The place was very clean and charming and enjoyed soaking in the hot tub each evening. Would definitely stay here again. It’s about <5 mins drive from Main Street area

What a wonderful place to stay. Hotel standard, beautiful furnishings, Cosy but luxurious. Perfect for a couple get away. Close to everything. Immaculate! Don't stay here because we want lots of availability.

We absolutely loved Das Ferienhaus! It was the perfect place for our long weekend trip to Fredericksburg. It is so clean and nicely decorated. It has everything you may need and then some! The hot tub is great! Love the fireplaces! We felt safe and the location is excellent. Close to everything! Will definitely be back!

We were enchanted with our stay here, nice quiet location, great hot tub, lots of amenities. But when we were leaving and cleaning up, we pulled the comforter off our bed and found dried feces covering the corner of the comforter! We had been sleeping under this filthy comforter for 2 nights! Reported this to management company for some kind of explanation, but it was crickets.... no response and no apologies. Unable to understand this kind of customer service. Our take-away is if you have an issue or problem, they will not be responding. Otherwise great communication regarding payment information, arrival and departure procedures.We will not be staying here again and recommend checking your options before booking with Gastehaus Schmidt

We want to clarify that all bedding is washed prior to every guest's arrival, so the stain you discovered was not present when the home was prepared for your stay and did not come from us. We take cleanliness and laundry protocols very seriously, and we are disappointed that you did not bring this to our attention during your stay so we could have addressed it immediately. We also regret that you felt your concerns were not responded to. We value our guests and always want the opportunity to investigate and resolve issues when they are brought to our attention during their stay.

Great house!

The house and property is great and very clean! The set up of the bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms is fantastic. The proximity to downtown is nice and convenient. The hot tub was a nice treat during the cold weather. The only negative aspect about this house/location is the Vet Clinic across the street in front of the property. In the early mornings and late evenings there was a lot of very loud dog barking everyday which disrupted the peace and quiet.

The property was exactly liked advertised and pictured. It was clean and all the necessities were available there for us and everything worked!The property is in a quiet neighborhood, it is well kept and is within walking distance of Walmart. We enjoyed our stay and that Hot tub was needed and appreciated during our trip. We will definitely be returning to the visit peaceful quiet town of Fredericksburg and pray we are able to stay there again .
