It’s a fantastic location and property. The owner was very friendly and responsive to our questions. One minor concern was that my group thought the washrooms were not as clean as they could be.
The only comment I would make is that the picture of the house needs to be updated. Everything was great, just as it was the year before.

Very spacious location , worked well for our group for 1 night stay
Large, excellent property, with all of the essentials in place, clean and ready to go. Only a few minutes walk to the Festival theatre and a little further to the other two. We had a wonderful three days there.
Check in was smooth and our stay was comfortable with plenty of room for our group. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked which helped us to feel at home for our visit. It was great to be able to walk to all theatres in the festival. The owner lives on-site in the lower level with a separate, private entrance.
Great host, clean and very comfortable home loved it THANK YOU

Thank you so much, Jocelyne! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and felt comfortable in our home. It was a pleasure hosting you — you’re welcome back anytime!
Spacious four bedroom, convenient to theatre / shops / restaurants / outdoor spaces, good parking, quiet area. There is an apartment in the basement, and sound travels to the first floor but not to the bedrooms.
It looks nice and was very clean. Host is kind and efficient. Drywall anchors are needed so the toilet paper mount will stay on the wall.

We had a group of six ladies rent for a two night stay. There is parking for two cars in the driveway. The house was nice for our stay. We had an issue with the door not locking and it was taken care of the second day. We had to go out and leave the house unlocked with all of our stuff in it the first night. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the home. As soon as you walk in the front door you see dirty baseboards. The powder room smells a lot like cigarette smoke and the pocket door looked like it was covered in urine. There was an odor in the house that caused us to be congested. It was just a short stay so we just rolled with it and had a great weekend together. I would give it a better rating if they had it cleaned properly for us to use. The owner was very friendly when he called and came to fix the lock. FYI they stay in the downstairs so if you will be loud it might not be a great option. They left for one of our nights so it was just us there.
Very spacious, bigger and better than the pictures. Parking spaces available. Host very responsive.

“It was a pleasure hosting Cathy! She was respectful of the house rules, left the place clean, and communicated well throughout her stay. I would gladly host her again and highly recommend her to other hosts. Thank you, Cathy!”
it was poorly maintained, and some surprises that i was unaware of. the house was dirty, for 2022 build it is showing wear and tear. the bathrooms smelled like an ash tray, for the price you do NOT have the house alone. p4eople live downstairs and you hear them, smell their cooking and hear the cat right behind locked basement door. old bedding, broken tv, bare min. in kitchen, smells like a cheap hotel. appears they just use cover spray for cleaning. very disappointing stay. not worth half the price
The house is very nice, the backyard area not finished yet. It could use some more seating at the kitchen island and at the table. Also, it should be noted that the Host is living in the basement. The kitchen could use some actual tea towels. All beds and bathrooms were great. Close to downtown 4 or 5 blocks to walk. All in all the stay was comfortable - could use a "booklet" setting out Wifi password, things about the house and what events, places to see while in Stratford.

This space in this place is great. Lots of bedrooms and space to gather. The location is also very good and close to the Festival theatre. A few things that need improvement. The listing says you get the entire home but the family lives in the basement. This is not that big of a deal since you have a lot of space but when we arrived late after a show, I felt like we needed to be quiet because of people in the basement. Also, the TV on the second floor was not working. There was Keurig cups and a Keurig for guests but the Keurig was not working properly as the coffee was not warm when it came out and there wasn’t cream available for the coffee. We would have appreciated a book of some sort explaining our stay, WiFi passwords, places in the area, etc. I enjoy staying at a Virbo because you get all of the things that you would get at a hotel but much more space and closeness to the people you are traveling with. This place had the space but did not have all of those benefits of a hotel. A little more effort would have been appreciated.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for staying with us! We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the spacious layout and convenient location near the Festival Theatre.
Just to clarify, as mentioned in our listing, our family lives in the basement with a completely separate entrance — guests do have full access to the entire home.
Regarding the TV, it was unfortunately damaged by a previous guest, and we’re working on replacing it. In the meantime, there is still a large TV available in the living room. We also weren’t aware that the Keurig wasn’t heating properly, but we’ll make sure that’s fixed. As for cream, we don’t leave it in the home since we would need to dispose of any opened containers between stays — this helps us ensure everything is fresh and safe for each new guest.
We appreciate your suggestion about adding a guest information book, and we’ll be preparing one with WiFi details and local recommendations. Thank you.

We stayed at this VRBO this past weekend as a group of 8. The listing advertised two king-sized beds and two queen-sized beds; however, the actual setup was two king-sized beds, one double bed, and two single beds. While the beds were comfortable, they did not match what was advertised in the listing.Only one of the televisions was working, the other had an X taped across the front of it. Unfortunately the cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom walls had visible urine etc. running down them, the bathroom mats were filthy and overall the house did not feel cleaned. We also found dirty socks under one of the beds. It appeared that the hosts had been living in the space right up until our arrival, and they basically gathered their things and relocated downstairs. Their bathroom garbage wasn’t even taken out.The kitchen was also not fully equipped as advertised. Not even enough cutlery for all of us. All of the closets were taped shut so there was no where to hang clothing. There was no place to hang towels as there are no towel bars or hooks in the bathrooms. That said, the house itself is laid out well to accommodate a group of eight people and the host was pleasant. With a proper cleaning, accurate listing details, and better kitchen supplies, this place could be much improved.
While our host was responsive and friendly, we need to raise an important issue. The street the house is on is completely torn up and being replaced, including the underlayment, sewers, and utilities. This was a complete shock and surprise to us and not included in the listing. After viewing municipal documentation, the project was approved in January of 2025 and began that Spring. Phase I was complete in December of 2025. We booked our reservation in late December. Phase II began in late April of 2026. This caused a great inconvenience to us and we felt our presence as renters was intrusive to homeowners. If we had known about the project, we would not have booked this property. In addition, there were no instructions left for us, including for appliances, or any rules.
