Many of the walks are either easy or moderate, catering for those who have some level of walking difficulty or age related issues with mobility. And our home has clear flat and lit access from the double carport into our home and only five side stairs with railings to the entrance.
Many rainforest animals visit our land including whip birds, pademelons (small wallabies), kookaburras, land mullets and parrots. Our home is on a residential block but feels private because it’s surrounded by large trees, and extremely close to the National Park.
Close shops include several cafes and a convenience store, a gem shop and Fudge Shop. We can recommend activities and walking track details are on a map on the wall. Come prepared to fully cater for all meals and check opening hours of the cafes. It’s also a good idea to bring cash for roadside stalls that sell fresh produce, chutney and sauces, or for outages. Best to fuel up before setting off also, as there is no fuel station.
A bookshelf full of multiple quality family games and books will entertain you after a hard days walking or on a rainy afternoon in our very spacious main family room.
We want our home to be a joyful place to spend with family or friends, telling stories and jokes together, unwinding and being with nature. A relaxing and romantic gem for couples, families, and people with some level of walking disabilities also.

About the host
Hosted by Kirsty

We are passionate about the Springbrook area and all its natural beauty, animals, birds and plants. We love bushwalking and we believe this is the most beautiful Rainforest in Australia.
Why they chose this property
Our home is a sanctuary in nature with clean air and water and peace, away from the stresses of city living. The National Park is a rare gem, with all the rainforest and its animal life at your doorstep. Springbrookhas more varied species of plants and animals than any other place in Australia.
What makes this property unique
Our home is only steps from the Unesco World Heritage listed National Park, one of the most famous walks, and a short drive to any of the other famous walks and sights. The most incredible Waterfalls in Australia, beautiful rainforest with mosses and scenery like a movie set, glow worms cave and tiny bat cave, lookouts, famous trees from Gondwana times, cafes and food stalls, local Sunday market, fireplace and firepit for your joy and relaxation, and lots of light and greenery reflected indoors to our huge living room where you can retreat if it rains.
There are also many other interesting activities within a half hour drive from our home and I can give you local recommendations, from wineries, to great views etc.
